I think I had OP's monitor for a few days. Picture dad a distinct yellow tint to it that was defintiely neither normal nor intended even though it allegedly comes factory calibrated with a fucking certificate. Got it replaced and it was still present on the replacement model, albeit a bit less pronounced iirc. Yeah, Dell QC is shit these days it seems.

Unfortunately dell is shit since they switched from LG to Samsung panels. I returned 4 monitors (2 x P2419H and 2 x U2419H) because P-series ones suffered from horrible backlight bleeding and the U-series from the uneven backlit screen around frame.

well manufactured TN panels have the same image quality as ISP, just only slightly weaker viewing angles, but they also have 240hz refresh rates and 1ms response times with no problem, and no ghosting/bleed problems.

There are only two different IPS 27 1440p 144hz panels out there, the older AU Optronics one that can be found in every monitor that was released before 2019 and a new Innolux one that's new which is in the Aorus, Acer VG272UP and a few others (they're all new monitors that have a PC control panels and HDR400)

Have a look at the Nixeus EDG27 V2 if you're in the US

What you're looking for is basically the holy grail that we haven't really got to yet

Smearing maybe, flickering never heard of it.

The smearing most occurs during weak transitions out of dark. Like black to gray is the worst IIRC. Monitors generally seem to have more primitive VA panels than TVs and the black to gray response can be as bad as 40-50ms. The panels on TVs generally are better around 20-30ms in similar scenarios, while also being far superior in every other aspect.

For transitions out of mid and light it's generally on par with IPS. But shadows are a problem for normal content. IMO unless you really must have a smaller VA panel it's probably better to just get a mid range TV or go with IPS
