>Always choose at least a two stick kit; 2x 8GB is recommended
>CPUs benefit from high speed RAM; 3000CL15 or 3200CL16 is ideal
>AMD B and X chipsets and Intel Z chipsets support XMP

Graphics cards based on current pricing:
>Used cards can be had for a steal; inquire about warranty
1080p
>RX 570 8GB - good performance with great value
>GTX 1660 - standard
>RTX 2060 - very high framerates (requires complementary CPU and monitor)
1440p
>RTX 2060 - standard
>RTX 2080 - very high framerates (requires complementary CPU and monitor)
2160p (4K)
>RTX 2080 - standard
>RTX 2080Ti - better fit for 4K but expensive

General:
>PLAN YOUR BUILD AROUND YOUR MONITOR IF GAMING
>A 256GB or larger SSD is almost mandatory; consider m.2 form factor
>Bottleneck checkers are worthless

Almost based OP, requires the inclusion of the 1660 Ti for 1080p.

>how would i go about getting windows 8.1 and making it not shit, i see it recommended here since alot of stuff stopped supporting 7
>if i already have windows 8.1 on my old PC, is it possible to transfer it to my new one
>do i need a special cable for 144hz? are there any good 1080 144hz monitors? the ones in OP keeps changing
>how is NVMe a meme?

Attached: chillindude 2024.jpg (604x453, 78K)

>no 9400f

Eh, like I said before, there's just too many options for 1080p, so I listed budget, middle of road, high end. Nothing wrong with the 1660Ti, it just doesn't fit

>malware vectors in the OP

What the fuck?

Mods?

I'm an AMD paid shill, btw

>since alot of stuff stopped supporting 7
Such as?
>how would i go about getting windows 8.1 and making it not shit,
Why do you need win 8?
>>do i need a special cable for 144hz?
Depends on your monitor and what connection type is needs for 144hz
>how is NVMe a meme?
Absolute waste of money to a normal user. Only useful if you do work with 40-60GB video files.

>he would ever admit this

>>since alot of stuff stopped supporting 7
>Such as?
>>how would i go about getting windows 8.1 and making it not shit,
>Why do you need win 8?
someone said the 2600x doesnt support windows 7

Ryzen CPU + Nvidia GPU is the most optimized PC build

Attached: 1546760909615.png (692x1028, 887K)

>Absolute waste of money to a normal user. Only useful if you do work with 40-60GB video files.
I'm still on the fence about this. I've seen improved gayming loads in certain places. verifying gayme files etc. and wouldnt it be genrally better to use nvme on pc installing shit, uninstalling, unpacking shit what not?
is there any reason not to throw in a m.2 in a premium build now a days unless going for max budget

It absolutely does fit as the price/performance for the 1660 and 1660Ti are excellent, with the 2060 being decent. This means you are not getting fucked in the ass for choosing any of the three GPUs and are getting the most performance out of your money at their respective price points. I know that you can partially make up for the memory issues of the 1660 by OCing the memory, but lots of people don't know/don't like to OC, so the 1660 Ti would be a better buy for them.

NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGER!
You can run plenty of current gen cpus on windows 7 both intel and AMD, you just need to inject USB 3.0 drivers.
I myself have 2600 on a windows 7, right now.
YOU ARE GETTING JEWD, next you will tell me you need windows 10 for the DX12 exclusive games which were made sole to entice retards to downgrade to win 10

>I'm an AMD paid shill, btw
I was an AMD fan since my first AMD K5 (which was pretty shit BTW), but you guys at marketing departments need to seriously tone down a bit..
AMD cult is getting a bit annoying. I hope you all won't commit mass suicide if AMD won't deliver 16c/32t this year.

> I've seen improved gayming loads in certain places.
Loading into game in 20 seconds instead of 21 seconds
Certainly worth twice the cost, surely....

>is there any reason not to throw in a m.2 in a premium build n
Listen if you want to throw money away, it's MUCH better to get better GPU, MONITOR, CPU, RAM, COOL, BETTER CASE, MORE SPACE And so on and on and on.
YES if you are a rich retard you can get NVME, after you get all the other things first.

i do not want windows 10
>you just need to inject USB 3.0 drivers.
how do i go about doing this? all i saw was a 2 year old pastebin in the OP about it

9400F is only for people who would one day like to upgrade to a 9900K, otherwise an R5 2600/X is a better deal, especially considering new consoles will be Zen

>how would i go about getting windows 8.1 and making it not shit, i see it recommended here
You can't make it any less shit than 10 (in fact it's more shit), and it's never recommended here

>if i already have windows 8.1 on my old PC, is it possible to transfer it to my new one
No and upgrade to 10, then you can easily transfer. Or reinstall Windows, I'm sure it's time user

>do i need a special cable for 144hz
Display Port cable is best option

>how is NVMe a meme?
For average home use there's no perceivable difference between it and previous technologies, but if you're buying a small drive the price difference is so small that you may as well get NVMe

You're talking about the R3s, R5s, and R7s, right, glowie?
>Moreover, researchers also claimed to have found two exploitable manufacturer backdoors inside Ryzen chipset that could allow attackers to inject malicious code inside the chip.
thehackernews.com/2018/03/amd-processor-vulnerabilities.html

You're missing my point

check your motherboard manufactuer, some support and literally give you retard proof programs that inject usb 3.0 drivers for your motherboard into your windows 7 installer.

based and red pilled.

>it's MUCH better to get better...
agreed

>20 seconds instead of 21 seconds
if it was only 1sec it would be a no brainer and alot games show it like this but ive seen others where there's a waaay bigger gap

>
no idea what XMP is

What are the odds that a brand new stick of ram is bad? My slots are good, it's compatible with my mobo, tried resetting battery. I just dont fucking know.
My pc will output video with stick 1 but not with 2, either by itself or with both.

>if it was only 1sec it would be a no brainer and alot games show it like this but ive seen others where there's a waaay bigger gap
Not what I have seen.

It's this one
pcpartpicker.com/product/Hy97YJ/msi-b450-tomahawk-atx-am4-motherboard-b450-tomahawk

>9400F is only for people who would one day like to upgrade to a 9900K
you think a dog shit low tier mobo for a 9400 is gonna be able to handle a 9900k? no lol

yes, they literally have a program for that shit, check their homepage under downloads or something.

>not plotting cost against transistor number

check around and u will see some differences

I didn't say it was identical, I said its absolutely not worth the money for normal people.

agreed. but dont know who to believe anymore sata ssd vs nvme
some say its no differnece at all some say its a differnece
seems kind of deprecated to use sata ssd for os on a non budget build in 2019 idk

>muh upgrade path
Again no one upgrades every year
9400f btfos 2600/x currently

If it's working on it's own, it a compability issue with the second stick. Try lowering RAM frequency to official specs.

The rumored 9900 is also a possibility; at stock frequencies, any B mobo with decent VRMs can handle the i9s. If a user were planning to upgrade to an unlocked CPU, he'd get a Z mobo by default.

Who said anything about every year? I mean when the i5 doesn't do what the user requires anymore. The 9400F does not BTFO the R5, especially when the user has a mid range graphics card; both CPUs will be bottlenecked at 1080p, and the R5 has more legs

by the time you have to upgrade again from now there will be a different socket. And no, a b450 wont handle a zen2

well since my last ram was defective anyone know of a good ram for a m92p?

Which motherboard would be best for overclocking an 8600K with a NH-D15 now? Most recommended motherboards are now out of stock or overpriced.

They're the same stick and I bought them together. For some reason one works fine but the other does not, that's with and without the good one. Tried it in every slot and I know the slots are good.
Pc boots up fine but monitor gives me "no signal"

What do you mean by RAM frequency.

Attached: I can't take this.jpg (1200x800, 88K)

>a b450 wont handle a zen2
Yes it will; Zen2 is coming out in a few months

>by the time you have to upgrade again from now there will be a different socket
And? You can still upgrade from a mid range CPU to a high end CPU on your socket

Why isn't the Intel 660p Series M.2 2280 SSD talked about more?

>cheaper than MX500/860 evo
>better performance than SATA SSDs
>5 year warranty
only potential downside is QLC, but does it even matter?

look at this also

Attached: 20-167-461-V01.jpg (640x480, 23K)

Currently got a RX570 paired with a R5 1600, i'd like to go for a GPU upgrade but i'm really unsure what to do. My options seem either pay out of the ass for a Radeon 7 or RTX 2080, or wait(tm) for Navi just to see what it brings to the table.

the lowest end z370 can hit 5g on that and it prolly wont throttle even if running it at max loads non stop. z390 low end prolly has even better vrm

Picked up a lenovo l2250p at a thrift store for $6. Worth it?

>8600K
The cheapest one you can find on ebay

Manufacturer validated memory overclocking profile for your specific kit that is saved in the eprom. May or may not be achievable based on the quality of the traces in your specific motherboard and IMC of your cpu. For most XMP profiles below 3600 MHz, IMC is not an issue, but many memory kits will fail to reach XMP on motherboards that lack high clocked memory kits on their QVL. Sometimes this can be relieved just by raising Vdimm, sometimes nothing can overcome the limitations of your motherboard.

Should I get a 2600 or a 2600x?
I don't plan on overclocking and I think my motherboard (b450 tomahawk) supports PBO

plz no bully but I have a cyberpowderpc in a w210 case and I'm looking into upgrading it.
I believe I want to change the motherboard and gpu (plz tell me if I'm wrong) but I cant seem to find whether an i7-9700k will fit.
Will it fit? If you don't know, how can I find out?

why are monitors so confusing for 144hz bros

2600 if alot cheaper
2600x if u want the extra megahurtz speeds

or JUST wait for zen 2

Could any user help me?

I'm looking for a Corsair 3200mhz ram stick 2x8gb for a ryzen 2600x+tomahawk in amazon europe since i'm from a shithole and can only import from there.

I've found very little options that actually ship to my country.

Does this link amazon.de/gp/product/B01EI5ZRQY/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3JWKAKR8XB7XF&psc=1 is 2x8gb? doesnt say and i'm too stupid.

is this a good buy?

its $600 aud after ebay plus cashback.

Bumped

9900K?

google the model number for the kit its 2x8

>prebuilts

>prebuilts
its $300 cheaper than speccing out individual parts.

Can a 2060 use freesync? Or is it only AMD cards?

Thank you user. Didn't thought of that!

>checking craigslist for cheap shit
>see someone selling a full computer
>they want 800 bucks for it, specs not listed in the description
>look through the pictures
>FX-8350 Black Edition and a 1060 6GB
I started laughing, I'm gonna laugh even harder if some retard actually gives this person $800 bucks for that trash

Attached: 1551634697759.jpg (400x400, 20K)

>Can a 2060 use freesync?
Yes

It's eh. If you're gaming the i7 8700K is as good way cheaper and if you're video editing the 2700X is basically as good and way cheaper. The only real benefit over the 2700X in that situation is the iGP but even that probably doesn't outweigh the added cost of the i9

2600X, why not for a few bucks more

Res + Hz?

Because none of them are without an Achilles Heel; check OP pcparticker for some options. high quality VA is probably the best panel type

>1x8 ram
>Not even dual channel
prebuilts not even once

>8700K
why would anyone buy this shitter now, prices never came down after the shortages
9700k is cheaper here (eu)

techpowerup.com/reviews/Intel/Core_i9_9900K/5.html
>Lying

>prebuilts not even once
but i can upgrade it over time. only thing i want to do is play csgo again. i went to console pleb for nearly 2 years and now i want back in.

for that yeah why not

just a m92p with a 3470
dunno
got a refund
maybe i'll try some other ram

with 16gb ram yeah
>>prebuilts
are better unless your buying used parts

Quick question: I want a Ryzen 7, but I am not interested in OC or SLI. Best CPU+MOBO combo?

>ryzen the intelligent processors

Attached: for the high iq customers rick and morty.jpg (3024x4032, 968K)

No idea. I'd be running one, but the HP EX900 was on sale when I was looking to buy.
The 660p series has consistently had good pricing and is what I'd buy almost every time.

Is this alright?
pcpartpicker.com/list/W9NHTB

What happened with the rx 580? Is it not good any more?

2700x/Gigabyte Aorus b450 mitx

>1200p 60hz monitor with a 9700k + 2070 build
you should consider either 120+ hz or 2160p
still a good card, it's just irrelevant when the 590 exists

14+++++++++++++++++++++ iq joke lad good one gottem LOL

>Gigabyte Aorus b450
But isn't the 2700X oriented to OC? Like the "K" con Intel?

Isn't the 590 really bad due to the heat and electricity and not that big of a gain from the rx 580?

They will both OC automatically if they have the thermal headroom. Slap a good AIO on it and ignore it, the fuckin thing will run like Ussain Bolt.

I want to buy an msi b450 pro carbon amd for this build but I can’t find it for less than 170usd. Should I cough up a little more for something better in that 180+ price range or begrudging buy a tomahawk for 115usd?
pcpartpicker.com/list/wCBRmq
Also the ram is just a place holder if you’ve got any suggestions

I havent played video gamu in a long time but I really wanna play the halo games on PC - have 1440p and rx 480 - i take it rtx 2060 is what i should go for?

Prolly gonna need to upgrade my 4690 as well

ill be honest with you, if halo does RTX the 2060 wont cut it

what would you rather build

one of these
gearbest.com/graphics-video-cards/pp_009907674150.html?

or 3 2080ti?

Sorry user Im really out of touch, is that just the raytracing shit? Is there another video card to get if the game doesn't support ray tracing. I'm fine to get something more expensive really, it's about time.

1660ti if you dont belive in the RTX memery

if you do, skip 2070 and you should be fine

Oh yeah I see
I mean i doubt halo will have any of that fancy raytracing stuff since it's just a port from the xbox
thanks user

is this legit?
wtf

Reposting for answers.
So let's say I want to build a Hackintosh and hypothetically I have unlimited budget (because I'm aware this whole concept is stupid and a waste of money), I want a machine that can:
>Boot OS X for video editing
>AMD RX 590 or Vega 64 because compatibility with mac
>Dual 1080p monitors
Then turn it off and:
>Boot Windows 10 for games
>2080Ti because retard speed
>Single 144hz 1440p Monitor
All without unplugging anything.

My logic is that you plug the gayming monitor to the 2080 and the dual monitors to the 590/Vega 64, then you turn on/off each monitor as you need when you change OS so that it doesn't recognize the others and get tangled up.

Is this possible or am I just retarded?

Attached: screencap21-37-752x501.png (752x501, 429K)

Depends on the price you get it for, as with everything. At normal prices, the newly released 1660 is significantly better

>it's just irrelevant when the 590 exists
Only idiots recommend the 590 over the 1660

If you want to play a specific game, wait for it to come out then check benchmarks and immediately buy a card.

no, stop trying to sell your previous gen hardware here

You think it will have ray tracing?

Oh, i have a 1440/60hz (Dell Ultrasharp) display at the moment. While i like FPS games, i can't say i have the reflexes to justify the higher refresh rate.

Theres also the possibility of getting a 4k TV later too.

just found it while browsing ebay
it doesn't seem bad depending on the catch

If it's not working on it's own, it's definitely faulty. Can't see another option aside from RMA or return.

If it is values then doesn't that mean the 1650 that comes out next month will be better than the rx 570 and 580?

tbqh many of the next gen games should have raytracing.

with haylo i dont think so because that version mentioned is literally a relaunch, maybe a remake might.

It's not. And if it is, why do you think it is? dumb.

My boss gave me a $4000 budget to build a computer for heavy 3d cad work and simulation with Solidworks mainly, does this all seem good? I have never had to build a computer with equipment in this price range.

>liquid cooling
trash

I couldn't find a nice seeming air cooler that would work for it. Everything I stumbled into was liquid cooling.

t. boomer retard

That is simply not true. the i5 can pull ahead in certain situations but lag behind most of the time. Also, intel based mobo are way more expensive and have less features than something AMD based. The Intel tax is holding everything behind.
