Imagine thinking that you need the validation of anonymous users on a ukranian cupcake artistry forum to decide how you choose to spend your free time.

imagine not being able to read a thread properly.

I like Gaymers Nexus and Actually Hardcore Autism.
I don't know of anyone else who gives better data than those two.

None because blog posts are better for tech
and no, product review youtubers are NOT tech youtubers, they're paid chill and are mostly clueless about tech
and crazy kids c/p codes and building robots with daddy's money are not geniuses.

why do you think that blog posts are superior to videos in terms of transfer of knowledge?
Every written text can be read and every image shown in a blog post can be shown in a video. The only thing unequal is that there is no emphasis in texts, which can be utilized to make the information you want to share easier to understand

Fran is based: youtube.com/user/ContourCorsets/featured

>why do you think that blog posts are superior to videos in terms of transfer of knowledge?
for the reader:
You can read it at your own pace
easier to skip, read again parts
copy paste
you can have charts or short videos (or gif) and actually spend as much time as you need on them
can export to pdf and read anywhere

To summary, you're in control of the pace, I find this very valuable when you're learning.

for the writer:
easy to extend
easy to fix mistakes
easy to enhance
easier to save a local copy
easier to translate to other languages
easier to be referenced by teachers in courses
easier to be quoted in researchs article or simply in presentations

I understand that some people remember things when they hear them but I think, it's a bad habit to rely too much on this especially when 99% of tech-related content is in text form.
When you have a well crafted post, I don't think you need a video as it's usually more than enough to convey the author thoughts.

more stem than Jow Forums but plenty of good youtubers there and plenty more great channels in the recommended/featured channels pages on the channel homepage, not included are some channels that used to be good (like Numberphile) or ones that have stopped uploading but they can usually still be found in the recommended videos list for any of the less popular videos from ^
there's also a bunch of great camping channels but they're even less stem and Jow Forums related but if you're into then AlfieAesthetics is a great starting point and used (may still be) to be one of us
some of the camping/wilderness/homestead/prepper etc channels can be more stem or Jow Forums focused but it's hard to recommend any as they're usually smaller channels that don't upload frequently, have bad quality video, or just hold some batshit crazy paranoid delusions, but there out there if you want to try and find them

even if you use ublock 80% of his videos are shilling for sponsored products he was sent, he's still pretty entertaining though

eevblog is great
ave is hilarious
cody'slab used to be ultra autistic but got better with time
don't know that one
don't know that one either
clive is a great channel as well
applied science is very interesting
tech ingredients sounds familiar
don't know that one

nile red is probably the most interesting chem channel on youtube
3blue has some insightful perspectives

9/10 taste user

can also recommend Cody's Lab. Not primarily focused on technology but also really interesting.

>DiodeGoneWild
>Mentour Pilot (airplanes are technology)
>""Captain"" joe (see above)
>MarcoReps
>EEVBlog
>Louis Rossmann (iToys are technology)
>Technology Connections
>AvE (skookum choochers are technology)
>ElectroBoom
>Turnah81
>Voultar

Rossmann is unironically based as fuck. Smart guy too, found a market he could fill in

NurdRage was one of the earlier and higher quality chem channels but he stopped uploading frequently for about 4 years which allowed channels like NileRed to fill the niche and become really popular as a result

Indeed.
I don't understand, why a lot of people, don't understand electronics...

funny enough I wouldn't recommend almost any linux youtuber. its just a bunch f propaganda spewing man-children who just make videos of themselves installing ubuntu and autistically reeing about windows. the only one I actively watch is Average Linux User because he isnt retarded. Any other utuber that makes videos like his are allright I guess, but I havent seen any

Level1Techs is pretty good. I like their news format. youtube.com/channel/UC4w1YQAJMWOz4qtxinq55LQ

the better ones like destroyallsoftware do screencasts or conference talks and cover more programming/tooling (think vim/emacs) related topics, talking about specific distros is arguably one of the least interesting parts of linux

unless NileRed is NurdRage...

NR = NR ???
Maybe. Has anyone actually heard NurdRage's real voice?

they're both asian canadians so you could be on to something here

Bald Unabomber Lenin vlogs and autistic rants help me rice my arch setup.

Luke Smith's older videos because they've gone to shit
