Your IP has been blocked due to abuse

What the fuck is the point in these fucking things when you cant even use them? Not a single fucking one wether its russia, US, UK, Spain Korea or whatever the fuck lets me post.

VPNs have been blocked and against the rules on here forever newfag
You might get lucky with a lesser known provider but you'll either have to cough up for a pass or deal with it

>>>/global/rules/14
You can get around range blocks with a 4ching pass.

Except it literally worked with a few before. My point is more than just 4chins, you go anywhere and sites are like "you are clearly using a VPN please fuck off or disable it" these things are fucking trash.

> blames his retardation and dangerously low intelligence on the vpn
> instead of blaming himself
awww. how adorable.

How am i supposed to know beforehand that literally everything knows every single IP for every single of the 1000's pf servers they have?

Fuck off retard.

nobody cares. buy access to another vpn, crying faggot

The real stupid thing about this is that websites can apparently detect when you are using a VPN.
That means that for any website, it is as easy as pulling a switch and blocking every single VPN user from accessing content.
Right now, you're only able to view yt videos that are blocked in your country because Google allows it, and if they ever chance their minds your VPN will be useless.

Even more retarded is this
>be bong
>pay for Netflix
>cant watch The Walking Dead because thats for Americans only
>VPN tells them i live in Las Vegas or wherever the fuck
>oh ok here you go then pls watch the walkig dead now

Why fucking do this? Just give everyone everything. You literally KNOW im not actually from Las Vegas.

>paying for vpn
>paying for 4fags pass
What a fucking cuck just use your real ip

>recommend using one of these when using unsecured Wifi networks
>all websites block it anyway

Can the world get its shit together and give out sensible advice?

I dont pay for the pass though. I got this shit so i could watch more shows that streaming services wouldn't allow only to discover all these fucking websites just absolute rangeblock the entire fucking thing. Also using my own IP is fine until someone in my city on the provider decides to fucking frog post over and over and fucking over again.

The real fucking question is why bother blocking it? Its 2019 and everyone has a fucking phone. You turn a phone on and off again and boom, new IP anyway.

What gets me is the question is what Jow Forums's fucking source is.

When a new VPN service lights up, multiple websites that claim to "block VPNs" all still work. Except Jow Forums, which invariably already has it blocked.

>vpn with affilate program and ads on tv
Into the trash it goes

I just use my VPN when I fap or visit other, less reputable, chans.

Perhaps you travelled to Las Vegas and are using a hotel TV.

>when i fap

why.....?

I’d rather my ISP/ five eyes don’t know about my NTR and hentai fetish.

and yet Jow Forums isn't falling for that.

I dont know what NTR means but i couldn't give a fuck if my ISP knows that i like Japanese vintage facials.

NTR = netorare = weeb cucking

NTR is much hotter than western chuck porn. Especially the VNs.

Anything that is region locked is region locked due to legal reasons (e.g. licensing). They would like you to be able to watch it, but they can't explicitly offer it, and as long as not everyone is using a VPN, just the region lock is enough to make the lawyers fuck off. They're consciously not blocking VPNs.

I can promise you your ISP doesn't give a flying fuck.

So? Privacy for privacy’s sake.

To scam privacytards

Hahahahhaha that's what you get for using a normie VPN. Use an obscure VPN dipshit
Protip : nobody will post their obscure VPN on Jow Forums/reddit because then it will be flooded and turn into normie tier. I've only ever seen my VPN provider get mentioned on Jow Forums twice in my 5 years here.

I think you are using this piece of technology wrong

Use private proxies

How so? Im serious, do tell im a tech retard as you can probably tell.

if every single website knows you are using a vpn and blocks content whats the fucking point

The primary benefit of a VPN is that you share an exit node onto the internet with lots of other people, so that your traffic is mixed in with theirs and it becomes hard or impossible to work out which person is responsible for which specific packets and thus you gain some level of anonymity. However the inherent downside to that is if people use that VPN service to cause trouble the IP is banned and you wont be able to fully use some services.

Those things are inherently tied together with the technology with one comes the other.

A new IP that is logged by your fucking carrier you mong. The entire point of a vpn is that nobody knows who exactly is accessing a website. If you just restart your phone the website just has to ask your telcom nicely who had that specific ip at the same time you posted a fuckton of cp or whatever you want to do on your 'private connection'

>2014 user
yikes

nord VPN is banned everywhere because it's shilled on jewtube by normalfags = more people using and abusing it
if you want a VPN that isn't blocked widely, you want to go for lesser known ones

heres a question;
if Jow Forums is founded on the idea of being anonymous and posting anonymously then why are VPNs completely forbidden?
doesn't that go against the entire idea?

Attached: 1537898508162.png (400x389, 155K)

don't worry dude Hiro would never give your IP to the feds.

then go use openvpn you fucking retard, my autist government blocked Jow Forums so i gotta use it and it works pretty well

Holy shit that makes it sound like you could be held reaponsible for someone elses tomfoolery

Holy fucking shit you cunt who is talking about doing ANY of that shit. I hope those fucks do get caught.

No? I was making an exaggerated point about why his idea of "new ip on reboot" isn't based on reality

Yeah i know user, but thats some illegal shit, not just some retard that gets banned for frog posting too much and changes IP.

if 20 people are on the same exit node/IP address and someone did something illegal (cp) how would the polica know who to go after?
especially if the VPN keeps a no logging policy

Well no not really and that's kinda the point, it's strength in numbers. For any given bit of tomfoolery that leads back to the shared IP you become a potential suspect as do all of the users of that service but you can only be held responsible at least in a legal sense if there's some evidence that shows it was specifically you that did it.

If you're not interested in masking your traffic in among other people and you merely want to hide your real IP address then you can get VPN services with dedicated IP addreses, they may be more expensive but if you were dicking about yourself and catch the attention of law enforcement then they'd know that 1 dedicated IP maps back to you specifically.

Or if you're super paranoid and you want to have full control over everything you could just spin up a cheap/free cloud server like with AWS (they do a free micro server for a year) and install your own routing software and make your own private VPN that you're in control of. That's my plan come april when the UK starts enabling porn filtering. I can just dump my cloud server in any region I like and connect through that.

>product is unusable
>it's the user's fault
Nice try NordVPN shil.

>using a datamining botnet

Retroactively they cannot if logging really genuinely is disabled. However there are different approaches they have available depending on the laws in the locale.

They might be able to approach the VPN provider and either ask or demand (depending on the relative jurisdictions) that logging is turned on and then monitor future activity and if the same thing happens again they have the evidence of who it is. In some countries law enforcement not only have that right to demand this but they also have the ability to put a gag order on the business who operates the VPN so they're not allowed to tell their customers that they're now being logged.

There's also other similar things they could do, they could approach the ISPs of all the users of the VPN and again request or demand to log the traffic from their home to to the VPN and then they monitor traffic from the VPN to the source of the CP and then they do a timing and correlation analysis to see if the traffic patterns match up.

There are technologies that mitigate this, onion routing is one of them, if you're interested in that then visit torproject.org/ and you can read about how they route traffic such that entrance and exit nodes can't be tied together making targeted traffic analysis basically impossible.

Bullshit buddy. I've set up a milion vpn. Sites or ISP won't care unless they get a lot of abuse or traffic from a certain ip. Then that ip is added to a list and blocked or filtered. Same thing happens with Tor

>Except it literally worked with a few before
Yeah, and then some retard uses it to spam CP or something and it gets blocked. There used to be a whole bunch of Nord servers that worked on here a few years ago, but they're all range-blocked now. Same goes for most VPNs.

I browse cp on my home desktop all the time using tor and the desktop version of telegram, and when I’m at work I browse more cp on my phone on telegram. There’s so many ways to access cp, it’s ridiculous easy. I don’t use a VPN, because there’s really no risk of being caught. The local police don’t give a shit about us small fish, they are going after the people who actually are hosting the forums distributing the pics, and the abusers of children themselves.

I know man and I agree. But still if you're stupid enough to believe that rebooting your phone is the same as using a vpn you're stupid enough to do some fucked up shit like that

Well when you have a service that lets you hide who you are among other people then you're going to attract users who want to hide who they are (i.e troublemakers) so it's no big surprise.

If you want your own dedicated IP address you can buy VPNs that do that, it will mask your real IP but it'll be a bit more expensive because IP addresses are at a premium.

serves you right for using a normalfaggot vpn

>What the fuck is the point in these fucking things when you cant even use them?
To suck money out of normies.
Most of the normies who use VPNs will just log into Google and other services with their accounts, and the sites will continue to track them through their cookies.

>yikes

You need to go back.

I think this is basically correct, but with one caveat. If they do broad surveillance and they happen to catch people who are easy to prosecute, like they didn't use a VPN or they made some technical mistake then they'll still go after you.

The thing you learn when it comes down to doing naughty shit online is that nothing is completely anonymous it's really just the degree of resources required to go after people so it's always a case of using protection that's sufficient to simply make it not cost effective to go after you.

Even Tor users can be caught if law enforcement went after enough Tor nodes and gagged the owners, and then did traffic correlation between them, but they'd need to do it across a high percentage of the nodes without getting caught and spend ages correlating traffic and waiting for users to randomly route through a popped entrance and exit node....the scope of that to catch someone downloading CP is just not feasible. It's really more of an economics problem than a technical one, at the end of the day.

Thank you for not being retarded.

Yes, it's because of regional licensing issues. This dates back to when you basically needed companies in each region to distribute your content. Now you can just do it on the Internet but those companies have long term agreements with each other which gets in the way of it. Getting international rights to stream/distribute something is a fairly big deal, and generally Netflix/Hulu would need to negotiate it with multiple companies per series they want to provide.

The vast majority of people using VPNs aren't very concerned about their privacy per se, they're mostly using them to avoid or circumnavigate blocking done at ISP level or at a corporate level if at work. Or tracking torrents and other file sharing info, typically to prevent their ISP from spying on them.

Of all the people that do traffic monitoring the ISPs are the worst because they're really the only people who have access to the traffic while its being routed through the internet because it has to pass through their network, and if you're using a VPN all they see is 1 encrypted stream they can't use and they can't really do deep packet inspection on, which keeps you safe while you torrent.

>The vast majority of people using VPNs aren't very concerned about their privacy per se, they're mostly using them to avoid or circumnavigate blocking
Which is why sites are clamping down on VPNs.

>which keeps you safe while you torrent
imagine living in a cucked country

Netflix doesn't have issues with people posting CP using VPNs. They don't really care if people are using VPNs to watch region locked content.

I'm gonna need to get a VPN soon.
Got an e-mail today saying I've now twice been caught torrenting copyrighted material... twice in like 15 years isn't bad considering I've downloaded several terrabytes over the years.

What's the best VPN to use for torrenting?
I was thinking of just getting a free one, but I've got a feeling it's pointless and might as well get a paid one.

fuck off nigger

Well sites will only do this if their users can post troublesome content and moderating it has become uncontrolable at which point they'll ban IPs and ranges of IPs if necessary.

Most countries aren't actually punishing people who torrent because it's just too hard to go after en masse but they do tend to send warning letters and make examples of some people. It's too hard to tie IP addresses to real individuals generally.

Are you on a private tracker? If you are then that'll be a problem because you have a non unique IP and that'll potentially mess up stats tracking, if you're just using public trackers then that's fine.

The primary cost to VPN providers is the cost of bandwidth and data transfer so the speeds you can achieve through the VPN are going to correlate with how much you pay, so if you dont want to bottleneck your connect then I'd advise paying for a decent one.

the idea is that you are anonymous to other users, not to the administration

if they didn't care why would they build all the infrastructure dedicated to finding and blocking them

just get a seedbox

I torrent over NordVPN, they have specialised P2P servers, and the speed isn’t terrible but it’s obviously no where near native. Without a VPN I get 12mb/s, with one I get between 4-6mb/s.

The point is to gather your data.
You did your research on NordVPN and tesonet before you started using them, didn't you?
