I'm just gonna go ahead and say it. It's AB. Let's face the facts:
1) There's no backup for AB. It has shows, manga, hentai, music and games. No other weeb-related tracker can compete. 2) It's relatively safe from law enforcement and jewish media industry because they don't care about anime. 3) It has a better invite forum than a few "official" cabal trackers. Western and Chinese tracker RPGs both start from there. 4) Retention is good. Lots of hardcore NEETs spending obscene amounts of money to have a larger seedsize than the other guy. 5) There's a shitposting subforum if that's your thing. 6) Staff is lowkey /ptg/ friendly. Our in-house janny is most likely an AB staffer.

In fact, rutracker is a better alternative for shorts and niche animation than nyaa could ever dream of being, but rutracker lacks many recent works. So your "alternative" for AB would be a combination of nyaa, rutracker and BakaBT for anime. But if you actually want other content, such as OSTs or music, you also need either Jpopsuki or RED, and if you want artbooks you're quite literally forced to salvage the web for random blogs that have uploaded them. AB has their personal autists for every single niche. The music autists, the short film autists who fill requests in a day, the artbook autists who got to legend by uploading nothing but concept art etc. There is no alternative for AB unless you wanna salvage 10 different sites to find what you need, and even then you won't find everything. I wish AB would change to be an ANIMATIONtracker instead. I would love to use it for western animation, too.
