Just made a gallery script in php in only 568 bytes....feels fucking good man
I already knew at least 80% of the web was total dogshit so this fact in no way surprises me.
wordpress alone is probably most of that
which apparently is fine for billions of people
PHP is 7+ is the best of all dynamic languages.
Yikes
...good for you, I guess? Your legacy language that you refuse to move on from is being used on hundreds of thousands of third-world wordpress sites. Have fun working into your 50s trying to fix your boss's homegrown CRUD app from 2002. I know PHP too but I'm happy it's dying. Shit language, shit semantics, shit tooling, shit everything.
>comparing php to javascript, languages that aim at different targets
What a fucking retard OP is.

node.js don't get fucking technical weeaboo
Literally the worst from both worlds
Typescript :^)
While PHP still powers the most sites, it's becoming increasingly rare for actual new projects to be written in PHP. If we'd only look at sites created this year PHP would appear to be a minor player. It would be interesting to graph the trends of CGI language in new websites each year.
Which language would you use for making a web project? (anything is allowed)
that's because all the development is in mobile honestly
