tell that to my Q6600

*burns your house down*

Don't know where that meme came from because FX is cool af.

>Not a 920

I get the benchmarks and all... But the 2500k isn't going to hinder you for most tasks

nice trips
point is that the 2500k is more expensive and gets beaten by the fx

Anything below a 6 six core socket 1366 was pointless.

*sip*

The i7 920 is worse than an FX-8350 at single core and multi core while using 130W, 6 core used xeon is really relevant, though.

The 2500K is still totally usable, but the 8350 was just so gosh darn inexpensive compared to a 3570K at the particular time and it's still pretty decent, and if you can get it to 4.5GHz, it's even better.

Damn you beat me to it, bro. The 8150 was more expensive than the 2500K and got thumped, but then the 8350 showed up for $195 and the 3570K was $250 with less overall performance, it started killing it, of course people still bought intel and a GTX 680 because Linus said it was good so they bought Intel and a Kepler card instead of a 7970.

kys amdrones

yeah, we know... benchmarks don't matter.

it must be hard having spent a shitload of money on something and then a few years later it seems like the worse choice compared to a cheaper product,
and your only performance update that you get is security patches that cripple your jewish poc even more than its corelet design does.

salty intcel bitch detected.

That's not a Q6600 you idiot.

>The i7 920 is worse than an FX-8350 at single core and multi core while using 130W
Sure, at 130W.
But if you don't care about power usage, the 920 overclocks by 50% or more while the FX OCs by 20% if you're lucky.

>people still bought intel and a GTX 680

I fell for that meme, not because of Linus though. Still running a 3770 and a 680, though I still wish I went AMD back then. Now just waiting for Ryzen 3xxx and Navi.

Based.
I got one this week, going to build a gaming PC with it.

4790k oc'd to 4.5 master race

For me, it's the IntelĀ® CeleronĀ® processor.

>Bulldozer vs Sandy Bridge debate in current year

the fx still holds the world record for highest OC at 8 something GHz, mine was running at 5ghz, what are you smoking ?

Ryzen 2600 is the new 2500K

>Piledriver vs Ivy Bridge in the current year

>is the new 2600k you mean

I ran an FX-6100 on the stock cooler at 4.3GHz for 5 years, are you damaged?

I have a dell workstation with the sandyvag equivalent xenon. Any hope for oc on that thing?

The 2700 is the new 2600K

Piledriver > Bulldozer

When will there be a reason to upgrade? I'm pretty sure this thing will carry me to 2030 and beyond.

Attached: hpit-032_hpit_032_1g_800x800.jpg (800x800, 131K)

nah i disagree, the 2600 is def the new 2600k

8700K + 1080ti will last forever.

Is that why it's on a table instead of in a build?

Attached: 1552311317090.png (128x128, 14K)

With the way Intel shills out half-baked "new" products on the same fab process for ages, yeah, it will never be obsolete.

>mine was running at 5ghz
Which is only what, 25% higher than stocks.
This was back when AMD still had horrendous IPC, so a 920 running at 4.2GHz would wipe the floor with an FX running at 5GHz.
>8 something GHz
Yeah, with liquid nitrogen cooling?

you should have gotten the 8250u. unless you want a toaster oven.

you're cpu a gay

this post by devils canyon gang

Until ryzen 3, anyway.

>GT 1030
sweet hesus

It is now, now that my motherboard failed and I can't replace it.

Somehow I knew it was a 2500K before even looking at the image

Legendary CPU, have an old one collecting dust in a case. What should I do with it Jow Forums? Have a spare 960 Ti and 8GB ram, would this be a decent setup for a server? Just looking to host some projects.

They have better healthcare than the average Amerilard lmao

I'll let you know when mine stops working. It's at 4.5, will probably be replaced before then. Replacing a 560 ti this week, can't run most games comfortably anymore.

But that's not a Q6600

>Obsessed

It is, all my game are cpu bottleneck.

>Find old hp A1600N at my grandmother's house
>get cheap ass 430w psu because ded
>get HD5450 for nothing

Based AMD K8.

Have fun taking Ubers to the emergency room when your foot falls off

Bit power hungry but yeah plenty for a server unless you're transcoding
I'd sell the 960ti or use it for something else
