What does Jow Forums and top tier programmers consider the ideal workspace?

How many screens?
How about a dry erase board?

I wonder how someone like Larry Ellison (or x significant person you don't think is a fraud) organizes their workspaces exactly.

one 4:3 monitor

3 2560x1600 screens in portrait mode like Al Gore.

In general, the more dev-ops requirements on a developer the more the screens they need because the more feeds they need to ingest. Two is a golden number. If you have more than two you start wondering if your devs are really focusing on their core competency or if they're getting too distracted by things that can be better provided by operators more familiar with the context they're working in. If you have less than two you wonder what stick got up their ass to cling onto such an affectation that thinks workspaces that pure have any meaning.

Somewhere quiet if you eat with your mouth open around me I'll fucking murder you

Three screens, one in portrait

a macbook on the couch
/thread

Three monitors, whiteboard, tons of notepads, a comfy chair

And my cubicle has a higher wall on Mike's side. And his radio stops working.

1 screen 640x480 16 colors

Completely useless!!

The ideal workspace is the one that I use because I am the ideal worker. QED.

Three, one with email/docs/etc, one for the program/s I am working with, and also a projector in the background for entertainment

unless you're doing office work or in academe, I doubt that you'd use it as much

This is how I have my current setup at work

Attached: layout.png (855x344, 9K)

An ultrawide monitor and a vertical 1080p monitor. Numpad on my mouse (they're sold as gayming mmo mice) and a mobile phone (for when I need the internet and it's unavailable on my PC)

Comfiest setup is 1 24" monitor and an 9.8" ipad as second. Come at me
