I like to keep a fan going, any music will make me really fucking tired/bored, I'll want to go to sleep, or just kick back and relax. This was nice for awhile, until I got bored/tired from listening to it.
here's some good stuff I've been listening to:
Brian Eno - Music for Airports

Andy Stott - Luxury Problems

YES SIR
Anything instrumental, lyrics throw me off and make me not as productive.
I listen to all my normal music, I don't really need a specific genre. Rarely, I'll find it distracts me, and turn it off to focus on something difficult, but that's rare.
This is the greatest programming soundtrack ever.

I work best when there is some really loud noise blasting into my head. The relaxing beats just let my mind wander, which is useful at times.

If you listen to music every day you're a subhuman.
Music is literally rotting your brain and slowly turning you into domesticated cattle.

Fuckin NOICE m8. Love a bit of Miles Davis.
I listen to Irish traditional music when I program. I hate programming, it's only something I do when I have to. Just like how St. Patrick cast the snakes away from Ireland, Irish traditional music casts away the dread of programming.
