you're retarded if you think they haven't already tested it 1,000,000 times to make sure something so basic as LATENCY wasn't a prohibitive issue before dumping tens, if not hundreds, of millions into development, let alone marketing

>rich successful people are never wrong
if only

>LATENCY wasn't a prohibitive issue
Latency is almost never a prohibitive issue for casual gamers

>linux game servers
they blew it already

Another shill thread? Jesus.
>Europe and the US have less than 9% FTTH market penetration.
>Latency can only get so low
>Latency as shown on their presentation was fucking horrid and that was under literally PERFECT conditions with the servers literally being in the same building
>Latency is out of their hands anyways and depends on direct linking to the servers and the ISPs infrastructure as well as geographical location
>Game streaming services are a massive money sink with no hope for ROI
>Google is a company known for killing projects for less than their profitability before
>Literally every other game streaming service has failed for the same reasons this one will

tl;dr fuck you shill

this thread?
AGAIN!?!?!

fucking faggot, we've been over this already
NO ONE CARES

you're actually fucking retarded. that isn't lag that's the game finishing the running animation. look at the goddamn mouse and camera angle to get a better idea of latency.

fucking hell! it's like the whole internet is just a big advertisement lately

thanks ad-block!

Depends on the game genre. It'll be prohibitive for FPS games, even when played in single player

>anyone who doesn't agree with the Jow Forums hivemind is a shill

I'm 100% sure it will succeed based only on the fact that both Jow Forums and /v/ think they'll fail.

Attached: 1551490015841.jpg (625x614, 67K)

>being this much of a contrarian
>being this retarded
Even a broken clock is right twice a day. This is literally that. Jow Forums is retarded /v/ is even worse. But this once they are right. And yes you are a shill.

Most games have like a 3 second delay now even AAA

>And yes you are a shill
Thanks for proving my point.

What makes you think they know shit about videogames?

Did you think the same thing about all the previous fail-ass game streaming services that failed miserably and had horrible lag, too?

If you did, you're a moron, just like you are now.

cry more

>No games coming to Stadia
>Input lag is proven and 100% exists
>Lots of companies have tried and failed in the past
>Only a few Ubisoft titles confirmed
>Other google services don't stream properly
>Requires a connection which can handle 20gb/hour with latency of 40ms
>Even on home turf, stage demo lags like a motherfucker.
>Braindead designers put bottom asymmetrical sticks like it's the fucking late 90s.
>No word on how much service costs (should be concerning)
>No word about multiplayer, probably completely untenable.
>Google kills products like Disney milks franchises
>No way to make money from this
>Server infrastructure will cost Google a fortune.
It's not going to be anything more than Google's Daydream is stealing VR customers away.
Not that there's any market for VR anyways.
S e e t h i n g

Did you see the live presentation? the stream itself was having latency issues.

>server will ALWAYS be within a 64 km radius
>maximal theoretical lag due to server distance is 0.32 ms
Latency should be pretty much unnoticeable, as long as they solve video decription efficiently

Normies are gaming on TVs that have >20ms input lag. Under ideal conditions (FTTP, Ethernet, 1ms monitor) this thing could be lower, maybe even half. However its not very cost effective. If you can afford the internet connection to make this viable then you already have money for a good gaming PC.

Yeah definitely google has never scrapped a product because it sucked/had no adoption.

Attached: 1543515295726.gif (326x281, 171K)

yeah!
let's pretend we're not advertisers on 4chin trying to revive a shill thread

also, have you tried brave browser? the best browser for browsing

>server in a 64 km radius of anywhere
If you believe this, I have a fucking bridge in New York to sell you.

Goddamn, Google shills. We're not completely stupid.

we're definitely not stupid, that's why we use Nord VPN.
Nord VPN is the best way to protect your privacy while handing all your data to a opaque company that will drop its pants as soon as the FBI asks for logs.
btw, i'm also using Brave Browser, the best browser for highjacking ads from content creators

>you're retarded if you think they haven't already tested it 1,000,000 times to make sure something so basic as LATENCY wasn't a prohibitive issue before dumping tens, if not hundreds, of millions into development, let alone marketing
Some people have laggy connections that they have to share with 2 or more people
Then that 20gb a day 50mbit internet requirement sounds fine until you realise that that's just for 1080p 30fps
60fps is almost double that
4k would be compressed to all fuck.
Then imagine the bandwidth needed if two or more people in the same household where on stadia that's at least 150mbit+ for two 1080p 60fps streams
Not many home connections have 25-50mbit in most of the markets google even really wants.
Launching it in eu us etc because it's eaiser I'd their tech was so good they'd launch it worldwide especially in poorer countries that can't afford gaming consoles pcs and the like.
Theres only about 500million console + pc gamers out there nvidia google Microsoft and Sony want that other billion untapped poor people and casual fags who just play on their phablets and smart TV's
Leaked tests put stadia at 80-200ms best case scenario which is dogshit for any fast paced game so anyone here actively supporting this shit is gonna be supporting the death of gaming
You lot thought mobile gaming and the wii was bad? Imagine this streaming tech after another 5-10 years when 5g is ubiquitous

i'm not supporting stadia, i just think thats a retarded example to "prove" it has bad latency

They're way worse than that. They go further and scrape good products that people do use. I'm still mad about Reader.

i'm also not supporting brave browser, i just think is retarded to use any other browser.

Brave Browser, we harvest your data while screwing content creators, it's a win-win (for us)

?
where did i even imply that it is retarded to use any other [gaming console]

I participated in the project stream beta that lead up to this so I can speak to how well it plays. It was Assassin's Creed Odyssey. You could tell there was a hint of a delay, but it was incredibly good and totally playable. The thing ran without a hitch on every device I tried it on. Even on a MacBook with a controller. I'm excited for this and I thoroughly believe it will be excellent.

>We want the Seoul/NYC gamer market

you know what's really retarded?
not using Nord VPN.
Nord VPN, pipe all you info straight into a gavenment's honeypot.

indeed, stadia™ looks very exiting my fellow gamer™.
I love NordVPN™ too!

yes, stadia™ very is good my fellow Jow Forums user
also, use brave browser™

the human eye can only see 200ms of latency so it literally doesn't matter

maybe it doesn't.
what really matters is to use Brave Browser™
Brave Browser™, we can't harvest your data if you don't install it

I don't care how much money Google has, they can't violate the laws of physics. It could be fine for casual gamers but it will not be competitive with having a machine right on your desk. The lag will be noticeable to anyone sensitive to it

We talkin about Brave Browser™ in this piece? Brave Browser™ is by far the best Internet based Web Navigator software ever built!

I, personally, don't mind a bit of latency
Very excited about Stadia

>Google
>QA
pick one

>I'm 100% sure it will succeed based only on the fact that both Jow Forums and /v/ think they'll fail.
this, betting against Jow Forums and /v/ is the only way to be right consistently

He literally presses A three times.
Also you can cancel out of running with a jump, so shut up shill.

>Even a broken clock is right twice a day
nice analogy user

>server will ALWAYS be within a 64 km radius
I used to live 30 miles from the league of legends servers and still had about 19ms ping on a gigabit plan.

i played onlive when it came out. this won't work lmao

Me too
Thinfs are better its been like 10 years
Also google datacenters abs asevwes aew bwttee rhan onlives.

how is that related to anything? light speed is a hard physical limit, everything else is addressable by google

28.9Mbps down, 16.3up. Is it good enough?

Sure. You go play competitive Counter Strike with 100ms extra latency.

If by "casual gamers" you are referring to "puzzle games", then you'd be right. But casual gamers aren't necessarily limited by genre, and latency is going to be an issue in any game that isn't turn-based.

im just here to say you are right.
dont argue with contrarians, its just waste of time.

pretty weak argument considering that the game is ubisoft showcase with 200ms latency on a desktop from key press to action.

Short text
[line break]
Sentence with an exclamation mark. For emphasis!

...

Things don't have to be good to sell if marketing is good enough. Cloud gaming has been done a dozen times before, and it's been DOG SHIT EVERY SINGLE FUCKING TIME.

If people experience issues they will cancel their subscription, whatever marketing there is.

you're retarded if you think they haven't already tested it 1,000,000 times to make sure something so basic as LATENCY wasn't a prohibitive issue before dumping tens, if not hundreds, of millions into development, let alone marketing

Attached: index.jpg (300x168, 6K)

This, they just decided it's good enough for the mass market.

Google is literally shilling on Jow Forums

>Jow Forums hivemind
Fuck off, retarded newshit.

T A C H Y O N S

> prohibitive issue
It's easy to hide, just make sure all games featured in Stadia (think Ubishit) have a butter-like camera with input lag, which is reduced for special Stadia versions. Can't complain about the lag if it's everywhere.

So why is everyone talking about this? How is it different from PS Now or other existing game streaming services?

>Gamefly 2.0
There is no reason to streem games, there are no benefits to it.

there are literal google shills shitting out stadia love threads right now, just sage and hide them
no it's not like the amd/intel "shills", these are actual real life shills who get paid for this

cloud gaming isn't anything new, stop hyping it just because Google starts doing it. It will be stupidly expensive and shit.

Stadia is about getting Ads into video games, nothing more, nothing less

plebs will deal with excessive latency if it means they get to play for cheap

youtu.be/Y7Xi5WAiYqQ

>you're retarded if you think they haven't already tested it 1,000,000 times to make sure something so basic as LATENCY wasn't a prohibitive issue before dumping tens, if not hundreds, of millions into development, let alone marketing
Well, they clearly haven't.
Oh, and it's not like Google has dozens of failed projects they silently shut down.
computerworlduk.com/galleries/it-vendors/google-graveyard-3508070/
Also for these wonderful people:

also the human eye can't see more than 24 fps

What's wrong with ads, dude?

But humans feel...

I can feel it already - no demo (or month free) and Australians will be fucked in the ass. I just want to try the fucking thing and nuke the levant.

REEEEEEEE

youtu.be/Kw1L_GTb5jo

IF I'M BUYING A GAME I DON'T WANT TO FUCKING BE ADVERTISED TO IN THE PRODUCT I JUST BOUGHT

lol it literally lagged at the event to half a second delay then the guy said 2 google guys looked at each other then took his controller and rebooted it

carelessly dumping hundreds of millions on half-done ideas then killing them is an established google method
killedbygoogle.com/index.html

*16 fps

Look at a very normal scenario
>shitty isp goes slow for no reason
>50mbit connection
>little Jimmy gets a stadia
>his brother gets wants one too
>dad collects 100gb of porn
>mum watches yoga streams in 4k to lose her fat ass
Or you buy a ps4.

>Oh, and it's not like Google has dozens of failed projects they silently shut down.

Not an argument, that's business. You also ignore that they have some of the most successful projects, adsense, google search, android, gmail, chrome etc

>You also ignore that they have some of the most successful projects, adsense, google search, android, gmail, chrome etc
What does that have to do with game Stadia? Sure, they're successful in some fields, but evidently not in others (game steaming).

Google glasses can't get apps or any powerful SoC, when even one founder spends years working on it

this

Normies dont play games where latency is a problem, they are okay with 114 ms of lag in their shitty triple-A blockbuster crap that is already "cinematically laggy" anyway. Anyone trying to play a fighting or racing game on Stadia is going to barf. It will be an unplayable mess.

so basically this is perfect for dumbos who just wanna play the new ass creed on their cell phone, not so much actual """gamers""" whose lives revolve around ekeing the best possible performance out of their equipment to actually compete.

Guys I just love Stadia
Can't wait for it to come out

Attached: stock-photo-teenager-girl-woman-female-portrait-freckles-face-isolated-on-white-520250119.jpg (1500x1150, 427K)

I tested ac Odyssey and there wasn't any noticable latency the entire time I played

Honestly Google can't make a functional chat app (or twelve functional but slightly different chat apps). So I have no confidence in this product and no confidence that it won't be discontinued in a year.
