What do you guys use for planning, organizing and note-taking? Is there a Jow Forums alternative to evernote and notionso?

I use keep despite it being piece of shit with no directories.

Also use standard notes for secure stuff.

A physical notebook.

bullet journal or commonplace?

Onenote really is good and I dont mind Google drive spying on my school notes.

I make significant use of rocketbook for my masters classes. That shit is perfect, and I like writing better. I use an executive size one for class notes and an oversized one for rewriting stuff when I get home, sketching concepts, etc.

Try combining those with anki to become superman.

mousepad

Weird seeing someone else mentioning notion. I honestly think a lot of their features are really ugly but I love the appearance of bookmarks in a text page. I used it only as a internet/info/quick note dump that I review and organize somewhere else every weekend.

Markdown with pandoc templates. You can write proffesional-looking documents in the time it would take you to write the things down in a physical notebook

bump

Emacs orgmode

Evernote + Omnifocus

ONE HUNDRED SHEETS

You can use the back of the sheets too.

Unironcially this.

Dynalist.

Redpill me on evernote, why shouldnt I use it

(((Cloud)))

People will laugh at my diary entries, but other than that?

OneNote Desktop 2016

pretty much just Standard Notes

Is there any use to handwriting notes from personal study for better retention and then transcribing digitally for easy reference (e.g. searching)? Or am i wasting my time with the former?

>leave home
>notes are inaccessible

Joplin, Standard Notes, or Turtl

This

but I keep thinking I should write my own complex system with calendar integration and shit.

Joplin, it is great

>user friendly
>no botnet or updates shit
>compatible with any pen
>doesnt requires online
i only wished it had a better search system but if you are organized there is really no better alternative.

>caring what retards think

I would but my handwriting is shit tier due to some neurological disorder I have.

Didn't they restrict you to use only 2 devices if you're on the free plan? Also the software seems poor quality.

Get a Sudanese bitcoin VPN, rsync and grep n00b.

VPS not VPN FUC|{[n... and jannies]

And mount those vps partitions as luks

impressive only one user said Org Mode. I guess Jow Forums is more normalfag than I thought.

Optimism is cancer.

Who /turtl/ here?

evernote has lots of features, but its slow as hell on phones and you can only use it on 2 devices before you have to actually pay for it.

well after seeing that most threads are about buying shit, smartphone generals and CS "do my homework" threads, I am not surprised.

I still love you Jow Forumsuys, no homo

Friendly reminder that Evernote has been hacked before

best answer

if you really must use a computer for no reason then use Emacs orgmode

>planning, organizing and note-taking?
lol wagecuck. no need for that in NEETopia.

I have to second this

Few things come close to OneNote, especially if you use Wacom tablets.

notes.txt

I've tried and I always mess up.

git and a text editor

>not planning, organizing and note-taking your porn and anime consumption

typora

vimwiki and a notebook

echo "note" >> notes
