what's the catch?

It corrupts you.

((((Free VPN))))
take the bait Jow Forums, you know you want to

>VPN
>free
right so it tracks you then, defeating the entire purpose of a VPN

Cloudflare can suck a wall of dicks. They're already a net negative for the web thanks to those nice captchas for everything that doesn't look like standard google chrome on a good goy IP. They're also consolidating way too much power under one roof. Fuck them, I don't need yet another google like entity shitting all over the place.

>But we're sincerely the good guys!
FUCK. YOU.

You're the product

How bad can it be? Most traffic already goes through CloudFlare anyway

>looks at date

(((Free))) you say? , ':^)

Why would I use that over Tor?

The catch is the date.

"""outside auditors"""
So uncle Cletus you put in charge of your shadow company?

They launched the 1.1.1.1 DNS server last April Fools. It's not a prank

Will it bypass netflix country restrictions?

>"""free""" proprietary app.
What did they mean by this?

Btw, should I be using 1.1.1.1 instead of 8.8.8.8, given that they are both evil corporations anyway? Is it really faster as they claim?
>inb4 OpenNIC.
I love the idea, but it's just too slow to be useful for me.

Cloudfare

The joke is although their DNS service wasn't part of April Fools, their privacy claim sure was.

>archive still blocked

use quad9

>implying 1.1.1.1 isn't a joke

thank you based Cloudflare, now my government (I live in a 3rd world shithole where openVPN, tor traffic are blocked by default) can simply block WireGuard traffic too

>The tor project is partially funded by the NSA.
Gee I wonder why...

>The catch is the date.
/thread

botnet and it's not even private, they forward your ip with every request

...

The NSA/CIA needs to anonymously sell drugs too...

Yet another MITM for your connection, goy.

>mobile designed before PC version
why do companies do this?

Approximately half of all web traffic comes from mobile devices these days, and it's only growing.

there's a reason we're still using PCs

why isn't decentralized dns a thing

because you're a cantankerous boomer?

>1.1.1.1 best DNS
>Can't access archive.is

werks on my pc

>American company so it is forced to keep logs regardless what they say
>American company with ties to American government meaning they couldn't care less to lie to public
>Promoting a """privacy""" service

Anyone falling for this bad bait should just kys. It was like the Dns over https shut they saw there are many retarded impressionable teens on Jow Forums lets try to steal their entire networking history instead of just dns lookups.

And what's worse since Cloudflare has valid tls documents they can intercept all your communication and even resign certificates on the fly. 99.999% of g wouldn't even realize it.

Right so what would I rather use a project funded by DARPA (NSA has not invested a single dollar into Tor but millions trying to crack it) that is in the open domain where I have to trust nobody in this entire universe orrrr

would I rather use a for profit project developed by a for profit company whose main income is selling user data.

Very tough question.

The funny thing is how they have the balls to claim it's not them doing it

The "Tor is compromised because it receives money from government agencies" is the most retarded meme.
You can literally audit the code and build it yourself if you want to.
This shit on the other hand is a black box

Google

you have no idea what you are talking about, your "pc" is way more compromised, lol right at chip level

I remember when April fool's pranks were good

Attached: 1551821499656s.jpg (250x191, 7K)

>not diskless servers

dropped

Attached: 1552418225634.png (469x452, 277K)

keep crying libshit

I can understand the worry with Tor though. Yes you can audit the source, but the NSA wrote a lot of it and they're very good at sneaky stuff. They've made unexplained changes to open standard encryption algorithms in the past that nobody understood until a decade later.

Why does everyone hate cloudflare? They don't keep logs and support dnscrypt
