Go "play" your iso on ios then

>this thread
I think OP meant playing media files in .iso format like video or music. It's not that hard to grasp.

He means an iso of a DVD or Blu-ray movie. Try pointing a player like VLC at the file on PC and it just works, with no mounting or anything.

Can this vlc play WinXP.iso too ?

No because it isn't a DVD video iso. It won't play "Hot XXX video.avi.exe" either.

okay but what's hard to grasp is "why"

VLC plays DVD-Video .iso files perfectly on my mom's Android 4 tablet. With DVD menus and all

That's not an iso. I don't really understand your point.

>what is VLC
Works fine.

It makes about as much sense as playing "Windows XP Pro preactivated.iso"

With a 512 GB MicroSD this is quite possible. Some phones come with 1 TB internal storage too.

So you're saying vlc can't find media files inside winxp install iso ?

It's specifically for DVD-video and BD-video isos. It doesn't scan random data isos for media files buried deep in subfolders.

So you confirm that this shit of a player can't open an iso full of media files without having to convert them to some special video iso or something.

Why would you have an iso full of media files that isn't a DVD/BD rip? A folder would be the more sensible solution.

Similarly, it can't open a rar containing a bunch of zips with a media file in each.

I tried VLC but when I open the file won't show anything. I'm totally sure this is a DVD iso.
