The sun is supposed to be gone in cyberpunk worlds?

yes

based

imagine having so few monitors that light themes wont give you a sunburn

Imagine not using light themes to give yourself a fashionable tan

I have never seen a good programmer who used Wangblows.

Well, you'd have to leave the basement first.

Imagine being an out of touch boomer and constantly burning your eyes with light themes

You've never seen a good programmer

lightfags btfo once again

WELL THAT SETTLES IT YOU ARE AN AUTHORITY ON THAT AFTER ALL

Enjoy your burned retinas, darkfags

>He doesn't write code with notepad or nano

Imagine blinding yourself because you don't want to align with some dumb stereotype

why is your font blurry retard

>stare at light theme for 10 minutes, look at wall
Everything is normal
>stare at dark theme for 10 minutes, look at wall
See a visual pattern of blurry lines that fades away after a while

Gee I wonder which is healthier

>>stare at light theme for 10 minutes
>it hurts
FTFY

...

it's not blurry what are you talking about? all that time spend using dark themes destroyed your eyesight mate
t. dark text on white user

Ah, you must be a dark theme user. Probably burned your retinas from years of torture

>light theme hurt
I never understood this meme. Is your monitor brightness set at 3000% or something?

No matter what the brightness is you're still staring directly into a white light

>using light theme anything at all
This is not 2010 grandpa

Do you prefer reading books that are printed white on black too??

Books don't produce any light

Unironically yes. I loved the demotivationals, after all.
Sadly, they don't sell Books with Dark Theme

They still reflect white light. Do you know how physics works

>They still reflect white light
Exactly. Unlike with monitor you're not staring directly into a lamp

you are supposed to adjust the brightness according to the lighting in your room.
>inb4 staring at a monitor in a dark room

I'm the only one who dislikes dark theme? I use it only when I'm kinda tired but mostly it's WHITE theme.

>turning on a light to use a light theme when you can leave it off and use a dark theme

>straining your eyes to be able to see small white glyphs on a HUGE black screen rather than having chad black glyphs on a HUGE white screen
I shiggy and I diggy my user

Le hacker detected

The solarized themes in particular reflect this.
Solarized dark is dogshit, while Solarized light is very good.

I agree with your patrician opinions my user

My, so much this.
Solarized light is 70s programming comfy-tier
Dark is for webdevs

Absolute patrician taste, lad.

Mad coz ur bad nigger

I actually prefer light themes for IDEs, but I use a a tweaked version of Tomorrow Night + Koehler for vim

Why did dark themes even get popular in the first place?

Imaging someone sucking cock as intensely as OP
Pretty hard, right?

Fucking rekt

Because le hackerman

>imagining straining your eyes with white colors

Light on dark is higher contrast (more straining) than dark on light.

>what we wanted
>uses screenshots from the game

It doesn't have to be high contrast. Look at Gruvbox light or Solarized light.
I agree that a full white background is straining, but a warmer, yellowish shade is much better and easier on the eyes. Not to mention, because of the reasons cited in , that it's much easier to read than dark themes.

Imagine posting a thumbnail instead of a full sized screenshot

Imagine searring eyeballs and then being smug about it

Wait people seriously like light themes? How does it not hurt your eyes?

Light theme doesn't mean super high contrast.

Because I don't program in a dark, cum soaked dungeon.

Pretty much what guy above me said but also it doesn't imprint text onto my retina like the dark themes do. Dark themes are considerably more painful to look at for me

Just use a dark theme that doesn't have bright text though
Fuckin gay

Except programming with a light theme makes you looks like a first year comp sci student or some cunt token hire at Facebook. Real men program at 3am with no light besides their monitor.

yes clouds of pollution or whatever else fucking the machines over using solar cells just get rid of that shit, thats rule 1 of kybpunk, every day is a cloudy day
