Coincidentally I just got admitted there. It's a good solid course and decently ranked, but from what I hear from alumni the electives are almost nothing, just 3 or so modules.

Same. Doubt they'll increase the elective load though, it's been the same since at least '13. Are you going to try to apply to NUS? According to a few alumni, NTU has a good hall life, while NUS will be full of overseas Indian/Chinese scholars you'll have to fight for As. NUS has a generally better infosec interest group, especially the Grey Hats. They win a lot of comps and organize a very good one. But I do know one of the founders of the Grey Hats and according to him after the Nandy Narwhals guy (he has a blog) left, the initiative and self motivation of the group really went down. Then again, he also says what he learned in uni is useless for infosec and what he learned in poly is far more useful.
