This is unironically one of the nicest new designs I have seen for a couple of years now.
This design is very well executed, just is so pleasing to look at and it only uses one dedicated camera for both functions.
They truly beat Apple at well balanced functional design, it took them a couple of years but they finally did it.

Something I just realized, with this design you can not use cases. There would have to be space for the camera to slide out, so they will break all the time.

a. there's the obvious difference for anyone who's not completely braindead; that Nokia's was a manual and easily serviceable mechanism.
many phones who tried this (i.e. Vivo) ended up with fragile and wobbly motors.
Add that to the fact that the back seems glass on glass with an obvious weak area where the two meet and you have a recipe for destruction.
I wonder how cases will work around this. It's interesting to say the least.

My ideal selfie cam would be a replaceable motorized popout. The sensor would sit in a small enclosure that pops out while in use. The whole moving mechanism would sit in a removable bay, like SIM and SD cards do now, that you could remove with a paper clip and replace if it breaks. Thank you for reading my blog.
