Who's the genius who thought it was a good idea to put the 3...

Who's the genius who thought it was a good idea to put the 3.5mm port next to the hard reset button so that you're constantly resetting your PC when you're blindly looking for the port?

Attached: img_5140.jpg (380x279, 54K)

At least he's not the retard who do that.

It's not their fault that you're retarded. If they put it anywhere else, you'll complain about it not being accessible or something stupid like "I just jammed my heaphone jack in the USB socket and broke it, why did they put it so close?"

It's a Fractal Design case so I'm assuming some lanky motherfucker named Sven

>don’t have a double digit IQ
problem solved :)

Why the fuck would you look for the 3.5mm port?

You must be 300lbs. Do you have sausage fingers? I've had a similar case for 6 years now and I've literally never had that problem.

They're like five miles apart guy

>using front panel jacks in the first place

On the other side of the power button

>2019
>not buying pc parts before you even look at them

y'all don't know what you're missing

I thought I was the only one living this nightmare.

Buy a better case next time.

Attached: IMG_20190413_114932.jpg (1440x1080, 118K)

LOL who actually uses the case audio ports

Attached: 1497502154412.jpg (300x300, 10K)

It's to punish poorfags for not having an external dac / amp

"did"

>try to plug in USB in the dark
>shut down PC instead

Fucking hell

>so that you're constantly resetting your PC when you're blindly looking for the port?
>blindly fumble around the reset button
>HURR DURR WHO IS THE RETARD WHO PUT THE RESET BUTTON THERE
Just disconnect it if you're too retarded to avoid it. You're the retard who plugged it in in the first place.

Who connects reset switches anyway? It's not like you ever use them. Same with the power LED.

>USB 3.0
>not USB 3.2 Gen 1x2
It's 2019, get with the times case makers

>kensington keyboard-for-life
>replace prntscreen combo with sleep/restart/shutdown
>litteral immediate shutdown button on a usb keyboard ffs

so many goddamm issues. esp when i'm just grabbing the keyboard to put it on my lap

>plugging in the hard reset button

>Who connects reset switches anyway? It's not like you ever use them.
They make a nice backup for when your power button randomly breaks a few years later.
My power button is now disconnected and I've plugged the reset button into those pins.

It was me

Why don't you already have a 3.5mm extension cord already set up on your desk?

your spatial awareness is worse than a nigger's. Also
>not using a DAC

>Not using a soundcard

you can disable it in the OS you dumb mother fucker(s)

Probably the same guy

Attached: logitechk280e.png (674x339, 318K)

dis

You don't have to plug the reset button into the motherboard if you don't want to use it.

Similar case of being 300lbs and having sausage fingers.

Just unplug it if it bothers you, idiot.
I haven't pushed a reset button in 10+ years.

Attached: step7-1.jpg (596x483, 81K)

Just use Bluetooth, grandpa

>implying shit case in OP has a USB 3.2 port

You can config what happens on short power button press, but not on reset. Reset goes to bios, not OS

>implying USB 3.2 Gen 1 isn't just USB 3.0 renamed

It does actually have 3.2

gen 2 *

Not even the same case bro

yeah just noticed the LED slot on the front is not the same size. It's probably the R5 compared with the R6.
Anyway, pic related, if you still use a 2015 case you can upgrade it

Attached: 51q7PTsKviL._SL1000_.jpg (1000x1000, 52K)

you think op listens to pcm?

Also, I misslinked, it was meant to be compared with the OP case

>hard reset button
I have never seen nor heard of this before in my life, what happened to just holding the power button down for a few seconds?

>hard reset button
It's more of a restart button
when you hit it, pc shuts down and restarts

Attached: ss (2019-04-13 at 13.02.55).png (257x157, 19K)

NO NO NO THAT HAS THE RESET BUTTON TOO CLOSE TO THE HEADPHONE JACK AAAAAAAAAAA
CASE MAKERS, WHEN WILL YOU REMOVE THE HEADPHONE PORT TO MAKE CASES THINNER

Attached: ihavenomouthandimustscreamquotes_745902.png (351x351, 145K)

No one cares about UX in the pc space

Who does that?
Nevermind that, who even uses these as opposed to a dedicated AMP/DAC and/or dedicated soundcard or even just the jack on their mobo?

>not having your reset button under a spring loaded cover

Attached: original.png (1000x696, 797K)

>discovered I’m a brainlet that uses his case’s audio jack
Any good starter dac recommendations?

>flips lid
>presses button
>N2O exhausts from the back

This.
Also This.
And This.

>not having a screen with audio out.

>what happened to just holding the power button down for a few seconds?
That's a hard power off, not a hard reset.

It's a hard reset because it doesn't signal the OS to restart, it just fucking resets regardless of what the OS wants.

>usb 3.1 gen 2 is the same as usb 3.2
holy hell, i can't believe someone actually fell for this marketing ploy lmao

You'll be buying more than just a DAC
a DAC provides no amplification to run headphones so you will also need a headphone amplifier
To be honest if bought a decent motherboard and don't really notice anything wrong with your on-board audio (noise from mouse movement, interference form GPU) then a DAC won't do you much good. Getting a headphone amp is still nice if just for the analog volume control

Unironically don't have this problem

Attached: 20190413_142016.jpg (4032x3024, 3.62M)

He never said it's "the same".
But it is a variant of USB 3.2.

It's like saying "I own a pet" when you own a dog.
Sure it's not the same as owning a cat, but it's still a pet.

Is this the case general? I HATE CASES
Flimsy floppy and lousy, every single one of them.

>connecting your reset button

Why?
How often do you really need it? - just use the power button 2 times in the rare event when GNU+Linux has to be reset and you somehow can't do this from the terminal.

Plebbit nigger

>That's a hard power off, not a hard reset.
Just turn the power back on after?

Attached: jackout.webm (362x272, 870K)

usb 3.0 as it was originally conceived is now "usb 3.2 gen 1" so could i say that my old ass computer technically has usb 3.2 now?
this whole naming scheme is horribly obtuse and idiotic

10/10

>Using front panel audio
OH NNOONONONONONONOONONONO
Do you like noise?

Attached: 1554649876775.jpg (300x289, 28K)

>is now "usb 3.2 gen 1"
It's "usb 3.2 gen 1x1"

There is also "gen 1x2" (which used to be called "usb 3.1 gen 2") and the brand new "gen 2x2"

>could i say that my old ass computer technically has usb 3.2 now?
Yes, that's the whole point of the renames.

Five second button press followed by another button press when you can just do a single button press?

Better question:

What kind of fat, ham-fingered retard presses down on the power button when he's brushing his finger against the panel looking for the 3.5mm port?

Seriously, I have the same fucking case and unless you're applying a lot of pressure with your finger, you're not going to depress the power button on accident.

>putting in and wiring up an entirely separate button into your case that is annoyingly close to the audio ports all for the sole purpose of hard resetting your computer in a slightly quicker manner despite hard resetting not being a common requirement in the first place

>why my komputa reeset when me pres reeset butan
>me no look what me do but that no my fault

Attached: hqdefault.jpg (480x360, 16K)

It's not like the audio ports are wired up in the first place.

... why the fuck is the reset button on top of the case in the first place?
The front of this thing does open, doesn't it?

So you prefer an open build on your carpet, huh?

Depending which case, it might not.

Man I want that case. Too bad they stopped making it

I have a case like this. My cats constantly pressed the power button until I finally put a hard drive on top of it. And the headphone jack was too recessed into the case for my cable to fit in properly so I had to use the port on the back.

Thank you.

Topping DX3 + Sennheiser HD600.

Attached: 1528371332739.png (1920x1080, 1.81M)

Just plug your headphones into the motherboard. There should be a port at the back of your case.

fucking rad

>having the reset button connected in current year
>buying shitty "minimalistic" gay men cases
topses

My personal favorite is this one

Attached: powerbutton.jpg (1600x1067, 403K)

Stop slapping your big meaty claws all over the top of your comuter

Are you retarded?

Attached: Control Panel.png (1125x634, 27K)

I had something like this, but with sleep mode.
Combining that and a kitty always trampling over my keyboard is... not that fun.

Reset button != power button.

Actually right now my case has its side and front panel off. If I want I can make noise by poking the fans. It's so fucking dusty.

I have a define and the reset can't be easily pressed with a finger. The button is very narrow and recessed that finger flesh can completely depress it. I need to use the tip of my nail to access it.

you know you can disable it?

>yeah about that socket in your shower cubicle
>just cut off the power supply

my friend has this case it's huge

made my morning. thanks
