It is.

Yeah, it has been for years. Can't be bothered to change now, though.

What, do you not know what yay is?

If I install arch again I think I see how long I last using aur without a aur helper. Doesn't sound that bad just reading the wiki.

The best AUR helpers are the ones that just automate downloads and show updates, like yaah does.

I lasted until I got stuck finding and compiling 15 dependencies just for one program. Just installed yay after that.

I thought pkgbuilds would have dependency lists built in.

just use yay retard

Is this sort of shit what Lintards actually consider themselves with?

Use 'yay' for fucks sake my fellow archfag

They have never fetched and built dependencies from outside of the main repos.

>tfw when OP is a faggot

Jesus I used it yesterday and this was the first I heard of it.

Been on trizen for years

yaourt -S yay && yay -Rs yaourt

>yay has a 250mb dependency on golang
fucking why not use a normal language

It is. Non-free software is for degenerates.

>depreciated

>tfw your friend says he has never heard Project Baby 2

I removed it after I installed yay, still works.
It's just for compilation.

>wants his freedoms to be respected by software
>does not respect the freedom of others to use whatever they want
stallman won't be very proud of you, user

I liked yaourt's search desu. I still miss pacaur though.

I thought mkpkg would read the pkgbuild and download shit. That's what I inferred reading the ABS section of the wiki. Never actually done it tho.

yay is shit use pikaur

pikaur is it's improved replacement

Never heard of it before, but it seems cool. I'll give it a try.

There's a archwiki page for aur helpers. It has a chart somewhere down the page that shows which features each popular one has. Or at least there was like 6 months ago.
