How did this get past the QA? I guess the hardware is fine, but software is buggy af. I bought this phone for my mom, because it was cheap. First, the keyboard failed to show up. Restoring factory settings and restarting didn't help. It started working again after some time. Now, the alarm doesn't work. I thought maybe updating the software would help, but when i go to settings to software update, it's just white screen. Is this normal for android, i haven't used it for years.

>he buys android phones other than Samsung and Google
oof

Why everyone always forgets LG...

First of all:

You probably bought it with a buggy vendor (ie. non-official) ROM. Unlock bootloader and install MIUI Global stable ROM or Xiaomi.eu ROM.

>buying anything Samsung mid-range or otherwise ever
I hope you don't do this. And your Samsung and Google aren't without fault either. He bought a cheap piece of shit, nothing more to it.
Because they're on their way out.

>how did this get past QA
Check defect management system: "closed as unable to reproduce", "working as expected", "edgecaae", "lowering priority on this one"

Honestly you should have just pay the 300 for a pocophone F1. It has a Snapdragon 845 and 6 gigs of RAM.

This though. LG is a mostly stock Android experience on solid hardware for Chinese brand prices.

LG was the first to implement wide angle cameras on their phones, and they haven't disappointed yet with their flagships.

And the only phones on the planed with a proper DAC.

Any probs with using the China stable rom in English?
Using that on a mipad that I only use for media consumption. Dunno if there's any real need to change.

With that feature, I can forgive the notch!

LG so underrated.

With that feature, I can forgive the bootloops!

LG so fagerrated.

I bought pic related for my mom. It runs stock android but it's still trash.

Not really, there's just some Chinese bloat apps that aren't useful outside China on the China ROM, but I think you can disable most of them. You can install all the Google apps on the China ROM too, so only thing you're really missing is multilanguage.

>he bought his mom the cheapest piece of shit possible

Real good son you are there op. I bet she would have bought you a flagship.

He could've at least gotten her a Redmi Note 7 or something.

>people non-ironically recommending LG

He claims to have iPhones but can't afford his mom a decent phone?

Entire family uses Xiaomi phones, never had any issues.

You got the Pocophone F1?

Put LineageOS on it, fixed

Is iOS better?

You should have bought her the A2.

The software on my S8 is worlds better.

...

I almost bought that phone instead of the rn5, thanks user

I have the pocomeme f1, mother uses my old mi4, dad uses some redmi

>buying an Andropoo phone.
Yikes

I just want somethig that isn't fucking OLED

Then buy literally any tablet that isn't a high-end Samsung.
