I dont own a titan this gen because it feels like a wasted/gimmick generation.

Properly done ray tracing with HDR will no doubt look great im sure. But the performance hit is too high. The price increase for the non ray tracing performance is absolutely no where near justified for the mining inspired prices.

I'll happily buy a Titan next generation if its worth it. I'm also crossing my fingers AMD pulls something good out of their ass GPU wise so we can see the same type of increased progression CPUs had with GPUs thanks to renewed competition(Intel I fucking hate your shit but please put out a worthy competing GPU to get some competition going)

Performace is entirely fine in the majority of titles at 4k (metro exodus obviously kills everything, for example). Playing RE2 at over 60fps at all times is damn smooth.

Exactly why I got 3440x1440p 100hz va instead it runs on a toaster (old 1080 ran games fine medium-high) and 2080ti barely ever drops below 100fps maxxed out

I feel bad for the dumb asses who fell for the rtx meme (I tried it ran like poo no game is fully raytraced yet except fucking quake 2 mine craft and 3dmark which all barely ran at 1080p 30fps on my 2080ti)

No, i'm just saying RE2 - which is one of the latest and greatest - runs at that. I play a LOT of a game called wreckfest and get over 100fps save for a few areas with known performance issues.
