1 without a doubt, 4k is a huge meme, especially for monitors, ESPECIALLY if you don't vidya (1440p would be a better balance of performance and price anyway)
Easton Hall
It isn't too big 32inch for 1440p?
Austin Myers
Sorry i misunderstood you
Liam Lopez
Def 1. Dual monitors is a godsend for multitasking, especially programming.
Cooper Fisher
Curve monitors. It is more of a natural viewing. 2 is nice, 3 is the sweet spot if you have a solid GPU. Same brand, same size, same resolution is key if you have the desk space for it.
Owen Hughes
Single 4k monitor. More pixels and no bezels. I have a single 32" and it's the perfect size for 4k, large enough that you don't need to use scaling.
Angel Young
I bought 3 benqs and all look different on factory settings
Jaxson Young
I would buy 23" 4k monitor bc there would be more ppi.
William Jenkins
i switched from 2 24" 1080p monitors to a single 32" 4k display, and i like the setup but i occasionally miss having a vertical monitor just for text
get ready to use insane scaling or buy a magnifying glass to read the text
Eli Sanchez
You're going to be looking at your main monitor 90%+ of the time, so you may as well just invest in it. If you really want more space, or rather a separate space, then get something cheap and mount it vertically.
Caleb Gonzalez
Bigger is not always better though, I regret not getting a bigger desk because my current 27" breaks my field of vision.
Joshua Hughes
Get a 32" 1080p main monitor and a 23" monitor set in portrait mode. 4k gaming is a meme, maybe in 5 years GPU will be advanced enough to easily handle it so gaming companies will develop for it. Right now its a joke and too few companies make 4k games at this point.
Logan Brooks
>4k gaming is a meme, maybe in 5 years GPU will be advanced enough to easily handle it so gaming companies will develop for it.
posting this from my 24" 4k monitor laughing at you ppilets
Ayden King
32" 1080p is horrendous, my max is a 27" desu I would get a 1440p one and a 1080p in portrait for text.
I got a 27" 4k and 2 20" by the sides for text (got a really good deal, not my ideal setup).
Brody Thompson
>32" 1080p Nobody even makes those beside chink companies, because it's a fucking terrible size/resolution ratio.
Tyler Murphy
>24" lmao
Chase Foster
I have two 27" of those exactly. It is really the perfect amount of real estate. Can have 4 legible windows open at once, don't think you could do that with the 1.
nigga i have my 32" and another 24" vertical. you cant beat it.
Michael White
43” 4k TCL has a pretty affordable model.
Angel Bennett
You easily can. You do realize than a 4k monitor has more pixels than two 2560x1440 monitors, don't you?
Luis Young
Wrong. 4K is the answer if you watch videos a lot - its a perfect integer scale for both 1080p and 720p content, and obviously displays 4K content perfectly. 1440p is a good choice for gaming since you need obscenely expensive GPUs to get high framerates at 4K.
Hudson Gray
But you'll just end up doing like all the other 4K shills and sit further from the screen, turn scaling to 2, have the same amount of real estate as 1080p, and make threads bitching about blurry apps.
Josiah Nelson
I don't use scaling, it's not necessary with a 32" monitor.
Gavin Reyes
>you need obscenely expensive GPUs to get high framerates at 4K you can do 60fps at 4k with a 1080 as long as you tone down a few settings from ultra high to high
i know gayman obsessed faggots will scoff at 60fps being acceptable but for the more casual player it's more than fine
Nathan Adams
But to see all of it you have to sit further from it, and then you have to use scaling to see shit.
Lincoln Reed
27 inch 1600p
30 inch or larger is far too large, unless you are sitting 4+ ft away from your monitors.
Adrian Sanders
is there any models with 4k or 1440p and 1080p in the same size and case design? i would like to get 2 highres for normal stuff, and 1080p for games, and have them all match nicely so i can just 1080p games and keep it native res, i dont really want or need a gpu capable of 4k aaa
Charles Hall
TCL is the worst brand possible, the one I bought had a bad capacitor that would just squeal, so damn frustrating.
Mason Adams
It was just a bit exuberant. Your TV was so thrilled you were watching it that it had to squeal in joy.
Charles Carter
It's less about it being 'acceptable' and more why would you pay for a 1080 and a 4k monitor for gaymin when 1440p would be more than fine and give your frame-rates as high as you would ever want?
Jace Perry
Why do you care if you don't do video editing, architecture, 3D or fucking graphic design?
Julian Sanders
muh RETINA DISPLAY REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Aiden Nguyen
well if you're using a computer for more things other than gaming, you might want larger screen real estate and opt for a large 4k monitor
Luis Powell
>benqs
Hunter Wilson
Dual 27s
Adrian Foster
Dual 32"' 4k monitors
Isaac Cooper
>perfect integer scale nice meme. your gpu drivers don't care about that, it'll do its own blurry upscaling
Ryder Ward
>your gpu drivers don't care about that, it'll do its own blurry upscaling
Why the fuck aren't there patches to fix this? Even if it has to be done through some shader, surely it should be possible to implement integer upscaling in modern drivers?
Caleb Myers
>you don't need to use scaling. this is interesting.
Josiah Lopez
because i dont like shitty colors.
Isaac Gonzalez
Would a 24in 1080p monitor scale the same as a 27in 1440p monitor? Like if I dragged a box to the next monitor and it would be the same size?
>Would a 24in 1080p monitor scale the same as a 27in 1440p monitor?
obv no
Christopher Phillips
It's fine, the pixel density for that configuration is about 91 PPI. It's the standard, ordinary pixel density for most monitors.
Juan Turner
>27 inch 1600p
Do they even make those?
Evan Hall
No.
24" 1080p scales the same as 32" 1440p.
Anthony Martinez
>30 inch or larger is far too large, unless you are sitting 4+ ft away from your monitors.
No, it's not. 32" is fine even for normal distance of viewing. It's not that big. It would be too big if it were the size of a TV set, like above 40 inch.
Hunter Gutierrez
If you most play single player games, would you say it's worth going 4k over 1440p? I have a 1080p/144hz monitor at the moment and.. honestly can't tell a difference over like 30 fps. For an eyelet, like myself, would 4k give a noticeable quality difference rather than 1440p with higher fps? Or if I don't notice increased fps, would I also not appreciate the increased resolution of 4k? I intend to go to a shop and compare in person soon but if anyone has had this experience it would be good to know.
Cooper Taylor
Ultrawide monitors are absolutely based. I thought they were a meme until I got one at work, and now I can't live without them.
Jace Jones
I have 27" and 32" 1440p and 32" one has shitty pixel density for 1440p Small text looks like shit, unless you're fine increasing font size, otherwise do not get 1440p 32"
Hudson Green
You need an ultrawide OP
Zachary Peterson
32in 1440p and 65in 4k tv is the way to go desu, go big it's better
Carter Hernandez
1440p is a good balence and if the moniters can be set to 144 Hz, your better off with dual 1440p 144hz then a 4k stuck at 60hz
Justin Jackson
>43” 4k That's horrible. My 4k monitor has half the size.
Josiah Carter
God I fucking hate desks. No leg room because shitty support bars for a particle board top. Dog shit keyboard tray that further removes leg room when you can just put the keyboard on the top. Giant ugly ass monitor stands that take up half the desk space. No way to even reach the space underneath the corner.
