Can anyone explain why these monitors above a certain size just have to be curved? Seems extremely counter-productive for watching movies because of aspect ratios and abysmal black areas as well as reading text. Just why?

I recently changed my setup from regular old 2x 24'' at 1080p to 1x 34'' ultrawide and feel nothing but regret. Window management felt so much easier with 2x 24'', and any benefit gained from the few extra inches of viewing room for a single window is entirely negated by the increased eye strain from such a massive viewing area. Can't even imagine 2x 34'' that sounds like torture

I don't understand how people have dual monitors centred liked that. It's fucking retarded. One screen is your primary, in the center, the other is auxiliary, off to the side. Yes, it will be asymmetric. Either get used to it or buy a third one, you OCD freak.
