Who the fuck would unironically use an ANSI keyboard...

Who the fuck would unironically use an ANSI keyboard? Just look at that JUST enter key and the retarded big key above it. Absolutely disgusting.

What do you call this layout?

Attached: s-l1600.jpg (1600x1200, 276K)

I'll use an ANUS keyboard if I want you fucking bigot

this. Also so fucking sad that ISO keysets are rare always that ansi garbage

B I G A S S
I
G

semi disgusting

A fag's choice.

I'm a Brit and I prefer ANSI.
The enter key is easier to reach, and left shift is a proper size.

Attached: BouguereauWA_Guepier.jpg (3765x5385, 3.78M)

ANSI is better, too bad it can't have designated sopa and ñ button

IDK but I was 12 when I noticed this, ansi only way I use \ all time

Attached: file-rKLHi1cihi.jpg (600x600, 64K)

I never understood why Americans use that dinky ass enter key and bloated up right shift, like just why?

Nice Realforce on the left.

Americans must feel so weak having to meekly press their Enter key instead of smashing the ISO big Enter with their fist.

>t. seething europoor (possibly muslim)

We have a keyboard like that at work and it triggers me when I type on it. Look at that fucking backspace key.

Attached: 1BNgG.png (836x798, 368K)

thats a japanese keyboard in the op retard

fuck you. As an eurofriend I specifically go out of my way to find ANSI keyboards because ISO sucks ass.

Basically every old Mitsumi had that layout, if you bought a relatively cheap computer in asia during the early 2000's you were probably given one.

I never understood why europoors use that dinky ass right shift and bloated up enter key, like just why?

Eh. I get why people prefer iso but I'm too used to ansi to actually switch. Just feels off.

>Who the fuck would unironically use an ANSI keyboard?
me. fuck iso

You're supposed not to use backspace that often, user.

How else am I gonna correct your shitty code?

iso is shit and so is the \ on the left

here's one more, colemak-dh ansi with z on b > iso with z on \

What the actual fuck

>types in command
>smashes the enter key with a satisfying amount of force
>sip coffee while your screen fills with debug messages
big enter is insanely comfy that's why

Left is far superior.

>big ass enter key
>that smol backspace key
I'm not using that

>Eurofats need hueg enter keys so they can hit it properly with their fat fingers

You are over obsessing over small things. It's just a keyboard, you type and done with it.

ISO looks retarded.

By learning to write something instead of writing shit.

>Look at that fucking backspace key.
Now I am triggered.

The best layout is ABNT2, i wish someone made a english version without all the extra keys.

Attached: abnt vs ansi.jpg (750x702, 71K)

The people who need the big enter key are the ones who lack the depth perception to go for the proper slim enter key. Next you'll tell me that it should be multi-coloured like some sort of fisher price shit.

Do you retards struggle to hit the enyer key or something? Does it really need to be big enough so you can type with your fist? Might as well make tab giant too so you can use both your fists to navigate an ibm terminal

lmao is it opposite day?

i just like it more that way, feels more comfortable and i haven't used an ANSI keyboard in ages but if i had to it wouldn't be more than a minor inconvinience that i would get used to in 2 weeks.

I like the xbox hueg enter button since im always pressing the \ by accident

ISO is so narrow that reaching for it all day makes your pinky hurt. It also takes a fuckload of space.

Is it some kind of Stockholm syndrome and you just think whatever option you use must be the best?

> using a keyboard that has unnecessary keys

Attached: 1555045798271.jpg (1000x1000, 76K)

ISO.

Yeah what ARE these called anyway? I don't think I've ever seen the one on the right on OP picture. It's always either a straight or a backwards L.

> Using a chink cheap keyboard

Why do people hate numbpads now? If I have to do math I want a damn numpad.

Attached: 1555635068570.gif (652x562, 626K)

They look dated and they aren't as obviously available on laptops and phones so lots of people grew up without dealing with them.

Not american. What's the joke with zoomers and tide pods? I dun get it.

see

I wouldn't want it any other way.

>not using a numpad
>that utility key layout
I'm disgusted. You will never top standard ansi 104 key layout.

Last year zoomers were eating them unironically.

wut? really?

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Consumption_of_Tide_Pods#Internet_meme

ESC then v then j then d.

Numpad enter is the only choice
Shits in perfect place and size

yeah some died. kids are basically fucking retarded and we live in a clown world.

the german toilet capslock

No its a tool I use at least 8 hours a day.

This layout is retarded because you can't even hit enter without spraining your pinky or moving your hands.

Looks like the original IBM PC layout though that had the F-keys on the left instead of across the top, and didn't have the separate arrow keys and just used the numpad arrows.

>using a cucked layout on anything but a laptop

>it's old so it must be bad
The shape of the modern car wheel has remained basically unchanged since caveman days. When are you going to upgrade to a square wheel car?

Tenkeyless is for people who only play games and write. Anyone doing much number entry will want a numpad. The only place I accept not having a numpad is on a laptop, because I find 17" laptops to be too bulky for my liking. 14" is just about what I want, and I have a USB numpad+calculator when I need to do number entry on my laptop.

The real question is, why does the spacebar have to be so fucking huge when your thumbs should be near the center of it anyway? It just makes the alt and super keys harder to press because they're below your palms.

You press them with your pinkies.

that looks based

what model is that and is there an iso variant

This looks like a keyboard made for people who wear a chastity cage

Why would you want Return so damned far away from your pinky? Fuck ISO.

>retarded yuros need a big enter or they can't find it

Attached: IMG_20180604_122303002.jpg (1601x900, 330K)

not a single reddit zoomer dead
sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeit

>Tenkeyless is for people who only play games
Except that's wrong. Retard.

>using a keyboard that doesnt have necessary keys

I'm sorry.

Attached: DSC_0370.jpg (3264x2448, 2.3M)

>ISO
>wristrest doesn't fit the board
What are those extra keys at the bottom row even for?

Don't know if it has an official name but most people call it "big ass enter", which is a variant of ANSI.

Ctrl+a, delete

dw, dd, x

>I'm a Brit
Do you have a loicense for that pornographic image, mate?

>>wristrest doesn't fit the board
Why would you want a wristrest for the numpad?
>What are those extra keys at the bottom row even for?
Japanese

>Why would you want a wristrest for the numpad?
Do you not use the numpad then? If so, why even get a keyboard with a numpad?

Wrist rests are for when you're not typing. When I'm not typing my hands are nowhere near the numpad, therefore there's no reason for a wrist rest there.

i only use them since its extremely hard to get UK ISO keyboards in the US.

Bind caps lock to backspace dweeb

british pieces of shit

That is sick.

Model M came in both types - Proof that it's a matter of preference.

And seriously - you are bitching about ansi layout, but not qwerty?

What the fuck is wrong with you.

Here you go, ISO and fucking dvorak.

Attached: dvorak.png (388x130, 10K)

>using a big boi keyboard for gaymen
>have the chaddest of low sens
>perfect 180's every time
>have to do a 180 left
>slam my mouse and hand into my keyboard
>do this repeatedly over and over
>only option is to get a smaller keyboard without the numberpad and useless shit like arrow keys
>try out a cheap board so I can stop slamming my thumb into the side of my keyboard at lightspeed
>ANSI shit
>No longer slamming my thumb into the side
>but there's a fucking key right where enter should be
I'd rather fracture my thumb for months just to buy non-ANSI board. They're fucking disgusting and only heathens use them.

I'm a German and prefer ANSI. All other layouts are a PITA for programming and terminal stuff.

same, i'm from NZ

>no numpad
clearly not a work keyboard
>no menu key
na m8, you can just fuck right off with that shit

Why do Europeans like ruining IBMs perfection?

ahem

Attached: alt alt key.jpg (1141x879, 191K)

>[ has a modifier for Enter
Why?

This. I have no idea how Americans can type on that ANSI abomination.

Why do you insist on Return being so far away from your pinky?

>Tenkeyless is for people who only play games
How the fuck am I supposed to bind all my miscellaneous gear hotkeys without a numpad?

>The only place I accept not having a numpad is on a laptop, because I find 17" laptops to be too bulky
A numpad fits just fine on 15 inch laptops.

>The only place I accept not having a numpad is on a laptop, because I find 17" laptops to be too bulky
my 15.6" laptop has one

Attached: Toshiba-Satellite-L50-A-163.jpg (800x600, 206K)

Don't see that as a problem as it's already in reach. I prefer to have a big key for such a common action. Less chance of misinput.
