Never really had any issues. Is there anything I should be doing differently or be using? Perf is not an issue at all. Anime + movies.
Sebastian Adams
There's plenty you could do, like using user shaders like FSRCNNX, but nothing you need to do. You should probably not use hwdec though, that can sometimes reduces quality, and it probably doesn't help much for performance. And deband=yes is already in profile=gpu-hq, so that doesn't do anything.
David Reed
so how the fuck can I make F1 set interpolation "yes" SHIFT+F1 set interpolation "no"
into a toggle like F2 change-list glsl-shaders toggle "~~/adaptive-sharpen.glsl"
Jordan Wright
F1 cycle interpolation
Luke Myers
>FSRCNNX I'll check that out.
I use hwdec since I've started to get 4k content, though I have have an 8700k so it doesn't matter too much.
Ian Evans
thank you very much. much appreciate it. fucking finally.
Christian Lewis
mpvnet is a lighter front-end and closer to stock mpv than Baka player.
This gives me stutter sometimes. What could it be?
Anthony Barnes
why don't you try troubleshooting yourself? try without a conf file and add 1 line at a time. It may be your HW can't handle ewa_lanczossharp or interpolation. Try different APIs and hwdec to see if it gives better performance.
Luke Hughes
I'll be troubleshooting, thanks.
Landon Martinez
He will eventually recognize the superior windows mpv build.
_, #, and j to cycle video, audio, and sub tracks. Imagine clicking through a GUI to do this. Windows users are embarrassing - does mpvnet at least use libmpv, or does it use it wrap the mpv binary?
Kevin Long
mpvnet has already all the codecs you need. I suggest you try it and see for yourself.
You can still use keybindings for that in mpvnet. Yes it uses libmpv.
Alexander Barnes
By writing profile=gpu-hq in the mpv.config file you should be fine. Alternatively, you can go to the mpvnet config editor and under the video menu select spline36 in scale and cscale, mitchell on dscale, auto on dither-depth, and yes on the last three options.
Cooper Jones
>mpvnet config editor wher ecan i get this?
Adam Edwards
>copy paste one line into notepad or >go through a bunch of menus and submenus to try and find what you need Why do people say conf files are worse?
Josiah Roberts
Only on mpvnet just press Ctrl + c or right-click to open the context menu under Settings.
Austin Edwards
I'm using gnome-mpv.
Levi Powell
then just add profile=gpu-hq in the mpv.config in Celluloid(Gnome-mpv).
anyone knows how to tweak SSimDownscaler to be enabled always that downscaling is needed?
Adrian Sanchez
>seething implying hes not shilling
Asher Evans
Celluloid gives you better quality and autism since its based on mpv. Hence it can use scripts to extend functionality.
Adam Jackson
It's true that you can't really "shill" community-developed free and open source software, since no one is getting paid and any promotion is for the benefit of the community. You can certainly sound like a shill, though. The first few posts of any mpv.net thread always read like advertising copy, which is really weird. Like, who the fuck cares that mpv has "over 700 available properties?" The way it's written makes it sound dishonest, like it has some agenda, even though it's probably just written by a lonely autist who wants people to talk about software he likes and doesn't know how to make that happen.
And yeah, these threads probably kill conversation, because no one wants to post in a shill thread, but these threads take the place of normal mpv threads with non-deranged OPs. Can't really do anything about it though, so whatever.
After upgrading drivers and to mpv with libplacebo I'm not getting constant 100% usage fucking my cpu on vulkan any more but I'm still getting 70-80% compared to ~40% on opengl with the same settings. Is that normal?
Jackson Lewis
are you running on a pentium 2? I barely ever cross 15% usage
William Evans
for me libplacebo on nvidia on linux works much worse than opengl.
Wyatt Ortiz
Use vdpau/nvdec dumbfuck.
Henry Cruz
>nvidia They hardly even know what Vulkan is.
Caleb Rodriguez
>use this useless feature that has nothing to do with vulkan performance kys retard
redpill me on deband. it has literally no effect at all for me even with absurd settings
Ryder Stewart
>set box/sphinx radius to 1.00 >video shutters along and looks worse than no interpolation >set it to an outrageous value like 2.80 >smooth as butter Am I missing something?
Luis Hernandez
if you don't notice banding don't use it usually pretty visible in sky shots
Asher Stewart
>set it to an outrageous value like 2.80 >smooth as butter >Am I missing something? also blurry as mudwater
Jayden Butler
it seems to work the opposite way setting it to 0.95 introduces tons of ghosting
Asher Morales
shift+a change the aspect ratio
Grayson Murphy
Thanks but that wasn't what I meant. I mean where the video stretches or not to the borders of the window.
Nathaniel Scott
Can RAVU upscale to arbitrary chroma values? Or it only upscales to RGB? For example if I have my 4K TV hooked to my PC with the YCC 442 chroma mode, meaning a chroma resolution of 1920*2160, is RAVU capable of upscaling a 960*540 chroma(1080p luma) to exactly 1920*2160? Or it will be upscaled to RGB(YCC 444)?
mpv.io/manual/master/#options-display-fps >Set the display FPS used with the --video-sync=display-* modes. By default, a detected value is used. Keep in mind that setting an incorrect value (even if slightly incorrect) can ruin video playback. Set this option only if you have reason to believe the automatically determined value is wrong.
