>Mint
Is it any good?

No it isn't, worse than Ubuntu and its different flavors in any regard.

Mein Negger

Not him, but my first distro was mint. I think it's perfectly fine as your first distro, but I wouldn't recommend sticking with it long term. From my experience the further you get from upstream the more errors and bugs you run into, so it's best to stick with something higher up the chain. If you're looking for a very stable distro for professional use, Debian, Fedora, or Ubuntu are excellent choices.
If you're just looking for something fun to try out on your own as a hobby, then Mint is a good starter distro.

>1366x768

is it even worth using a higher resolution on a 12.5" screen?

CPU OC to 5.0, or maybe 4.8

depends on how loud I want the fans on that day

speccy is garbage and doesn't use the correctly offset temp, cpu is much cooler than that.

why do you need so much ram

Attached: speccy.png (434x389, 19K)

It's lying, the CPU runs @ 4.8Ghz.

Image editing/scanning. It's my job.
It's mostly convenience since I can get away with 32GB+, but it's nice to not have to constantly re-open everything.
If I upgrade/split my PC for a gaming upgrade then I'll still keep this box around for work, unless the prices of RAM drop significantly again.

>GTX 1060 3GB

Enjoying that prebuilt?

Running at 4.4 because it either lost the silicon lottery or is doesn't like my 4+1+1 phase control. 4.4 is as far as it goes under 1.3v.

Attached: still not upgrading.png (1861x803, 43K)

Running at 4.4, wont go higher under 1.3v on this board.

Attached: still not upgrading.png (1861x803, 42K)

it's not lying, intel CPU names include the stock frequency.

So the name of the CPU according to the system is "Intel core i5 2500k @ 3.30Ghz"

It'll say the same thing in task manager too.

yes, for it's price I couldn't get any better.

It's getting old. Waiting for Zen2 to come out but again I'm super poor at the moment.

Kaby was actually a good alternative to ryzen if you liked gaymen before they went full retard with 8 cores on a little desktop 1151 chip.

Depends on viewing distance, but you have pretty solid returns up to 1 pixel/arcsec then diminishing but still decent returns to 2, and afterwards it just shits itself

You might be a fun person to talk to actually.
