So? That's not why any of us really use it. MacOS and Windows don't "just werk" either. People use Linux because you can customize to behave in exactly the manner you prefer and no other way.

I run Devuan with KDE. I added the non-free drivers to the install media manually but other than that I didn't have to configure extra shit. And adding the drivers is as easy as extracting a zip file and tossing the drivers into /firmware on the USB. I just formatted and installed. Works great as my main OS.

I've yet to run into a problem regarding Linux Mint, and I've installed it on like 6 different laptops.

Case in point: I have a craptop with an elan1200 touchpad and Nvidia GPU. Touchpad is buggy as shit (not fixed after a year+ and doesn't work with older kernels at all) and I have to boot with a nouveau.modeset=0 option (good luck figuring that one out of you know nothing about computers).

You should probably stop supporting companies that aren't Linux friendly.
