>Note: Starting with Firefox version 57 released on November 14, 2017, only extensions built with this new technology will work in Firefox. A majority of the most popular add-ons are already compatible, so most users should not notice any changes.

My firefox was version 66 when this happened all of a sudden. It's been that version for a while this is freaky.

Same here.

All my extensions are updated but Firefox itself is still at 61.0.1 because I have yet to take some important data out of my bookmarks' description.
Would updating FF solve this?

issue is highly unlikely to be on our end. something's broken.

yes

It's ok Firefox just had a stroke and EMTs are on the scene.

>Would updating FF solve this?
I have just updated and it didn't fix shit.

>open new tab
>OH FUCK BY THE WAY I TURNED EVERYTHING OFF FUCK YOU
so this is the power of diversity
thank you pozilla

I have auto-update turned off, but it seems like Firefox just ignored that and did something to disable all my extensions. I updated to Version 66.0.3 and it didn't do anything to fox it.

This seems kinda Orwellian.

this solved it, thanks.

See and

Uninstall the extensions and then reinstall from the official site. Seriously

This thread was first you faggot

?????

I feel so vulnerable right now

It's alright if you post your social, credit card numbers, exp dates, and security codes here you'll feel better.

>running mainline instead of ESR
>letting FF update itself instead of you choosing when it gets to update

?????????
werks for me

Attached: ubo.png (1730x874, 98K)

I don't think anybody here allowed for autoupdates, faggot. Read the thread. This was something else.

Yep they fucked something up. Nobody asked for this

so firefox can just disable our shit at will?

muh free and open source software

I was in the kitchen getting something to drink and when I walked past my bedroom I saw Firefox on the floor and a big pile of shit on my bed.

Works on my machine.

Attached: 1549351558788.png (717x588, 74K)

>no autoupdates
>it updates stuff into broken state anyway
lmao

update? what update?
I haven't updated anything and my browser version is the same
my window didn't even close or restart or anything, it just disabled all of my extensions out of nowhere
there was no update, it just told me to go fuck myself when I opened a new tab randomly

werks on my machine

Attached: firefox_2019-05-04_02-48-45.png (992x682, 72K)

I read this:

>If you go to about:config, accept the risk
>then search for xpinstall.signatures.required and double click to make it false all the add ons will work again, at least until mozilla fixes this.

dunno if it'll actually work or not though.

Wasn't Google talking about updating their browser in a way in order to kill Adblockers and other 'problamatic' shit and every browser is following suit? Is that what this is?

lmao diversity, screw cuckzilla

came here to say the same. what the actual fuck

Attached: firefox_IvXDren9UN.png (960x1050, 167K)

Fuck me

Is this literally just the retards who stayed on legacy addons instead of moving to quantum ones? My Firefox works fine and so do all the addons.

Attached: 1.png (1366x1987, 351K)

No, retard.

Switch to chrome

No you fool I’m fully updated

Come use the better browser

Attached: g.png (2560x1440, 2.48M)

When did you install your Firefox and the addons?

>use windows
>get fucked
Install Mint

Right now I'd use IE or Edge.

Unplug your Ethernet, then you won't have ads and we won't have to listen to you any more, OP.

But I'm on windows and firefox and all extensions work fine.

I'm on Arch, I got hit with this random bullshit.

That look nice, simple and functional like old chrome, what is this?

Updated and the problem still persists.

I don't think it's an update issue.
They most likely have some fuckup on their end that made our local authorization system malfunction.

Seems to be working for me, thanks user

It’s the latest windows install

The dev version of Edge built on chromium

just switched to chrome
>uses way less ram
>faster
>transferred all my bookmarks in 5 seconds
>addons work
Firefox can suck a cock

(Quick guide) How to fix the addon/extension problem
Discussion

Step 1: go to "about:config"

Step 2: search "xpinstall"

Step 3: xpinstall.signatures.required -> set to false

Step 4: xpinstall.whitelist.required -> set to false

Step 5: Restart browser

That's it, folks. If it does not work, try using Firefox ESR instead.

I dont thing Microsoft is going to get rid of ad blockers

Fucking retarded but thx for the post

works on my pc

edge

>uses way less ram

Attached: 1556396008366.png (1920x938, 138K)

>Microsoft
Ok, give it to me, what is wrong with it?

Attached: 1512686398167.jpg (353x411, 18K)

That didn't work so I think I'm just going to go do something that doesn't involve my PC. Maybe take up knitting or something.

Attached: 1556740808009.gif (350x350, 809K)

What even is the point of firefox now that they deprecated the actually good addon system?

It's literally gecko chrome.

Didn't work.

Thanks, this fixes it.

>he thinks he can override addon signing on release channel builds
kek, that was locked on years ago

Doubt it, this killed all my addons.

Reminder to Install Brave

I use Brave Mobile and it has saved me a lot of battery life compared to Chrome Beta.

Wonder if they fucked up when they did this. twitter.com/firefox/status/1124429473548423169

I have so many questions

Attached: 131921637315.png (354x286, 6K)

you temporarily move to vivaldi or something. no way to even reinstall the disabled addons right now. this is why it's good to have a backup browser that has most of the settings and logins imported from your main periodically.

no one will have to bother with autoplaying shit on firefox if no one is using it, update working as intended.

This is why your add-ons aren't working.

This only works if you're on ESR, dev or nightly. If you're on regular firefox download ESR instead.

THE ABSOLUTE STATE OF cuck FOX

works on my machine

Yeah, fixing it oughta do it you fucking faggot.

ayy lmao, they are full on damage control instead of making a new build with a new certificate and deploying the update. even my shitty laptop can do that in 30 minutes time after a mach clobber (under a minute regular build)

this is worse than that bug that made all Microsoft Zunes stop working on the same day 10 years ago.

Is that a fucking threat?

STOP TALKING ABOUT IT. WE MADE A MISTAKE OK?

Attached: facepalm statue.jpg (300x200, 10K)

I assume the bug here being that they were Zune's and they had been engineered by Microsoft.

i still use my Zune in 2019. It's an excellent device.

Attached: 90sboomer.jpg (977x689, 194K)

Is that a developer? What a fucking faggot.

go to about:config

disable xpinstall.signatures.required

resume usual browsing
