Some retard forgot to renew the certificate that manages addon verification.

Someone @Mozilla forgot to update a certification that checks that add-ons are legit, so with that lapsed, it thinks everything doesn't work.

Someone at Mozilla shit the bed and forgot to pay the cert bill. Add-on sovereignty was lost worldwide, and the Goongle swept in to take marketshare.
Some say it was a double agent working for Google that did it, but no one really knows for sure.

It's a server-side issue, so it's fucked until Mozilla cleans up their mess. This is a good workaround in the meantime.

Not working for me, it seems to run as just another instance of regular Firefox, even changing settings in about:config also changes them in my running regular firefox. Also tried waterfox but no dice. What a clusterfuck, how long will it take them to renew their certificate?

Well you got me here, but I can't do that since I have an add-on that prevents browser tabs from loading (LoadTabOnSelect) unless I've clicked on the tab, which I use so FF doesn't open all 500+ tabs from my session at once on loading but only on clicking them. Tabs that I'm not going to load without a script blocker, never mind that doing so would probably make it crash. I'm literally locked in this session until Mozilla fix it I guess.

yeah if you didn't do it in time, and opened firefox, it'll disable them and you have to apply the fix then reinstall. if its midnight on may 4th, and you haven't applied those two values, don't open firefox, you can edit prefs.js and edit/add the values there, preventing you from the issue, and you won't need to reinstall the addons, firefox will work normally.
