Adblockers block normal ads. It's the god damn assfucking ads that load in new tabs or windows that have NEVER been able to be fucking blocked.

The vast vast vast majority of hidden popups will be blocked. Anytime I cisit a site I don't know, I'm immediately clicking that pop-up blocker and reloading the page. I visit some janky ass streaming sites for sports and I have yet to get a pop-up that goes through
