IPFS - Web3.0?

What's Jow Forums's opinion on the distributed web and IPFS? Is this a good area to focus on/invest in projects doing work in this?

CP and other illegal files exist therefor IPFS will never be mainstream

>blockchain
So its slow as shit. And why would we change a thing, the internet works just fine unless you are a pedo, terrorist or a nazi.

The same could be said for torrents and VPNs but those are extremely popular.

Better ideas are urbit and possibly skywire

You're retarded.

Hello NSA. Enjoying Jow Forums so far?

CP also exists on google search, therefore google will never be mainstream

It's not blockchain

So you don't understand how IPFS works then.

And even though they were just serving you remote content they still got into a lot of shit because of it and now it's completely gone from their search results

neither do you
why are you pinning CP?

CP torrents exist.
CP is on clearnet on a fuck ton of different image boards, forums and file hosting sites either dedicated to CP or just not giving a fuck.
Soft core CP existed on YouTube for years.
CP is shared via telegram, signal, tox, email.
CP is mostly shared from windows and android devices (by CP creators).
Therefore, technology will never be mainstream.

Every fucking thread.

No it doesn't work that way.

If you use IPFS, you will, without your knowledge, get illegal files on your system
The other P2P require you to take a direct action in order to acquire it.

t. buttmad pedo upset his dream system won't be implemented

You sure seem to have a strong interest in this topic... sad your favorite system to hide is going mainstream and that means a lot of people will be looking into it?

>If you use IPFS, you will, without your knowledge, get illegal files on your system
...No, you won't.
Again, why are you pinning CP?

IPFS isn't workable in the long term without Filecoin to ensure long-term storage of data
Filecoin involves people downloading illegal files to their computers
Therefore, Filecoin will not achieve widespread acceptance
Therefore, IPFS will not achieve widespread acceptance

>IPFS won't work without buttcoin

You don't understand what this is useful for.
I can operate a serverless storage medium that flows like liquid across the planet, works offline, and works in deep space while allowing grandma to check her IPFSBook friends on Earth from the rings of Saturn.

seems just like freenet

Ipfs is made for performance and storage.

None of these alternatives will get popular because the big players have no reason to make them popular

You don't need big players if you can make it viable for piracy. As of now IPFS is useless.

bittorrent is still better for file storage
since single swarms are easier to censor than bittorrent ones

what you are looking for its called zeronet
