well at least you didnt take steel wool at them
neat
show the other side?
that half penny is cool
how did you get these?
I'm thinking of starting a collection
I left the half penny and the other side of the 5¥ coin almost unpolished because I like it better that way
Thanks
Got ALL of them a few years ago in the Netherlands on the Waterlooplein or something. It's a street where there's 24/7 flea markets
I really want one of these cash pieces (ancient Chinese coins) with a hole in the middle though. I might make a Feng Shui charm out of it.
this one in particular has a number "41" written on it
and I highly doubt that its from PRC, or from Chang Kai Shek's/Mao's factions
maybe it was made by one of the numerous warlords of the era?
why am I saying this?
am I even right?
you're welcome
Very nice coin collection. They look well polished.
This particular coin is japanese, cause only they use "円” as currency unit.
Yeah this one is a 5¥ coin from 1941 but I'm talking in general. Going to a medieval festival.
OP signing off.
Thanks. I gave my coin from ancient Rome away to my Latin teacher because he let me skip classes to work on my philosophy essay though.
Obligatory
Hong Kong, one cent
Too bad they're worth alot less now.
You're not supposed to clean coins...It effects the value alot.
HOLY FUCKING RARE FLAG
this
never clean coins
Japanese carry a Go Maru in their wallet for luck.
With the exception of the Soviet 20 Kopek, they weren't worth much to begin with, well under a burgerdollar each. Even the 20 Kopek probably wasn't worth that much more than its melt value.
Actually, I looked up the 20 Kopek and it's not even silver. Never mind!
