What a waste of resources.
Hang your head in shame
>worrying about measly extra 3 ~ 5% CPU/memory usage
must suck to be this poor
Actually, letting those programs running in the background would be the same as if leaving an music app playing something in the background.
you know that's a terminal, right?
bloat
No, but Windows 95/98/XP used to be able to run gifs as a wallpaper. I had the most badass rices and I didn't even know it.
>measly extra 3 ~ 5%
on a laptop it constantly prevents the cpu from entering C states and you get 60C idle temps and fan noise.
sounds like you're the poor one and you only used computers from 2004.
>having overheating issues at all with a laptop
if you are poor

Suck it NEET/Loonix.
how do I do this
>can winblows do this?
I don't know if active desktop is still in windows, I don't use it. If so yeah, that whole thing could be replaced by a webpage set to run on desktop.
This reminds me of showEQ.
not him but how do you combat the laptop heat?
Run a screensaver? Yes.
>this is the same as placing gifs/a webpage on the desktop!haha
nu-Jow Forums as it finest
got a link to that screensaver?
sudo apt install asciiaquarium
Why would you do that instead of using xfishtank?
Is it just me or does the start button not really fit in well with the rest of the task bar there? No offense or anything it just seems a bit jarring to me.
>shitting on wangblows while desperately clinging to muh shitty old 9x a e s t h e t i c
