Yes, presuming you want to use Steam, because your operating system will not be able to do what you want it to. Whether this is due to the limitations of the system, or the machinations of corporations is irrelevant. Your OS can not do everything you want it to do, therefore you are not perfectly content with it.

Disabling prefetch and superfetch only seems to fix it for like a quarter of computers i work on. Maybe reinstalling the latest version like 1803 maybe gets 1 of 10. Ill never understand what causes it.

I never claimed that there were people who were/are "perfectly content," though I don't deny the possibility of it. Even if there are, I would never be so bold as to claim that they would remain in that state perpetually. But yes, human desires tend to be limitless, while resources are finite.

if u got slow HDD windows defender scans and telemetry scans and update scans take your computer to a halt. Cant use the disk or really slow.
Defender takes 0.5gb of ram.

No joke, I've been having some issues with Windows since last year. Sometimes I won't have the problem for a good while, then some day it resurfaces. Essentially, I'm doing some random ass thing, listening to something in the background and everything slows the fuck down for 1 second. Sound slows down, graphics slow down, my mouse moves slower. I'm not even sure it's a hardware issue, because the only thing I haven't replaced between the first time I had this issue and now is the processor.

windows 10 was engineered with ssds in mind. use an ssd.
