But NOT this one because no HDMI. Find one that has HDMI and then install a $20 120gb ssd like Kingston A400. It'll feel like a new PC then. You want HDMI so you can hook that shit up to a TV with a wireless keyboard and mouse. Boomers love that shit.

What EXACTLY is your plan? Take dad's 500$, buy him 150$ PC and spend 350$ on dragon dildos?

Go for used shit. 2xxx intel cpus are dirt cheap, a used lga 1155 motherboard probably comes in a bundle with ddr3 memory. Take some low specs psu (but not a chink one) and a dumpster-tier case.
probably your dad need a reality check. if he gives you a 150$ budget he can't ask for a new pc.

just find a vendor on kijiji. browse computers in the for sale section and set a price range of 40$ to 75$. can find a lot of brick and mortar places selling good cheap stuff and the only catch is you gotta install your own OS (pirated win7 is easy). my dad still uses the same computer that i gave to him 9 years ago.
