Nice desktop I have my taskbar in the same location on my windows desktop.

It just makes sense, close a window/program or want to go to another desktop environment it is in the same corner. Less mouse travel. Never made sense to toss on bottom or left side.

Mate I wanna thank you for posting your desktop. We can clearly see that you really use Linux, not just post fetchs.
First of all, using Mint, a distro that LITERALLY just works. You boot, press next 3 times and it's installed. No need to tinker around for hours.
Second, Mint 18.3. The guy doesn't need the last version of each package, he doesn't need to be bleeding edge, heck he doesn't even need the last Mint version. His system is supported till 2021, why bother with updates when it works like this. Beautiful.
Third, 3163 packages. Why? BECAUSE HE ACTUALLY USES HIS COMPUTER. He installs whatever he wants/needs, he doesn't try to have the smallest number of packages because some NEETs told him that 'it's bloat' as if packages need to be inversely proportional to their weights.
Fourth, 1 day, 1 hour and 4 minutes of uptime. Not 34 minutes, not 20 minutes, not 5 minutes. He doesn't turn Linux on just to take a fetch, post and goes back to Windows. No, he turns his computer on, uses it and turns it off when he's done, or doesn't turn it off, but also doesn't give a shit to having a server-like uptime.
All in all, beautiful reply, you highly deserve those quads and I wish the best for you on your future endeavors. Let your fetch be a lesson to us all.

So Jow Forums i rescued this old HP g42 laptop from the trash bin, it doesnt have a working battery but i placed a kingston 240gb SSD and manjaro KDE (for now) on it, for having a 10 year Athlon II this thing is way snappier than my i3 3 3118u laptop.

Im playin the idea of getting the 25$ usd 9 cell battery i saw in Ebay and runing black arch software (kali is for faggots and i dont wanna daily it) on either Manjaro or Arch (leaning toward manjaro for user friendlyness vs being a full archfag), thing is: i wanto to rice it as mojave for kicks (always wanted a hackintosh laptop)

Should I stay in KDE or would cinnamon be better for mac like ricing?

Specs on the laptop are:
Athlon II p320 @ 2.2Ghz
3gb ddr3 1066 (would upgrade to either 4 or 6gb 1333 i got laying around)
240gb ssd
HD4250 or 4220 mobile.
