virtual debit card for the internet

why? that's fucking stupid, do they even have a semi-real banking app?

>using credit cards

Attached: 1508597428590.png (687x696, 24K)

>not paying your card off at the end of the week for those sweet jew points

Credit cards are unpopular and there's no good boy points to collect like in America so I don't.

explain

You're a stupid fucking nigger. It's made by Barclays, it's just Uber branded. I use it too, and 4% at restaurants and bars is dope

Waiting for Apple's credit card so I can get jewed by a bank AND Apple at the same time.

Attached: images.jpg (715x429, 28K)

I can send funds to the card through web banking, and I can use only as much as there's on the card.

I have plastic, but it's just number.

The Amazon Prime Visa.
5% back on amazon and whole foods, amazon owned stores.
2% back on restaurants, food, petrol filling stations, stuff similar.
1% back on everything else.
0% fees.

It's kinda nice for my shut-in life because I basically buy everything through amazon anyway so I'm making at minimum $40 a month on it.

How is this card? Can I get it without doing anything with uber or is that unrelated? the 4% back sounds good, is it no fees?
I guess I could look it up.

>making at minimum $40 a month on it
>by paying $800 to jeff bezos
wow you really made it out ahead user

Only card you’ll ever need.

As if you're any better, you've been permanently single forever user

I spend $400 alone in fuel in order to wage slave which accounts for $8 back. the rest is just food and purchases

I have had sex
I actually used to have that same card but I ended up spending more money than if I just paid with debit so I cancelled

Got 3 cards. One is a bullshit card that was my first. Been meaning to cancel it. My others are far better. Have a Discover card with $30k limit. Gives 5% cash back on gas and groceries, and 2% back in all other purchases. Pay my rent, car payment, phone bill, etc on it. Around $2300 a month, every month in living expenses. Then my Master Card which only has a $2000 limit, but gives 2% cash back on all purchases

I usually save all my cash back funds from both cards for a full year. Use that free money to buy PC parts. It's hoe I got my 2080Ti. It'll also be how I get my AMD R9-3850X when it launches.

A wells fargo student card that I've been meaning to upgrade from for like a year now.

And a redcard mastercard with 10x the limit of my student card.

I have a contactless debit card

I literally know NOTHING about credit cards, am i cucked or is this perfectly fine?

never cancel your first card
just put one reoccurring charge on it

1st cc = longest credit line = better credit score

True. I've heard this before. It just kills me to keep it. Paying $90 a year to be allowed to use it. $500 limit and no cash back rewaeds

what card is it?

Damn son that sounds like shit.

Talk to the issuer who issued it if you could upgrade or downgrade the card to one without an annual fee.

Upgrading/downgrading won't remove the card from your credit history. It'll still be considered your oldest CC.

Visa through Credit One Bank. The ONLY card that would approve 19 year old me trying to build credit. Then I made like 3 payments and BOOM. Pre-approved for like 12 different cards

...

>businesses pay an extra fee to perform credit card transactions
>businesses pass on this fee to customers by incorporating it in the sale price
>mfw people who pay cash subsidize my convenient plastic + rewards

Attached: D25IHAzUgAE0pZ9.jpg large.jpg (192x192, 7K)

How.
How the fuck do you spend more money by using a card over another unless you dont pay off the due balance before the billing cycle ends

They keep trying to upgrade me. I never bothered to look at the details. Maybe I will. I figured it'd be considered a new line of credit from them, not a continuation of my current one. Hmm

I can only get a secured card because my credit is shit lol

if it has a yearly fee, cancel it
it's not worth it.

just keep your first card with no annual fee

>tfw you get a nice job out of college, but you have to move and buy a car before you start
Living off credit until you get your first pay check is scary

I get around a lot so mostly just pic related. Other than that, I just have some store cards that I just use whenever I shop there.

Isn't there like a minimum amount of lines of credit you need to keep open to not have your score tank? Should I get another card (without annual fee) before canceling this one? Co-worker of mine has like an 844 credit score with 6 card, mortgage, and 2 car payments. I can't break the 750 mark

Actually, Visa and MasterCard make a lot more money from interest on balances than from interchange fees. What you describe is more Amex's thing.

>Isn't there like a minimum amount of lines of credit you need to keep open to not have your score tank?
I put about 90% of my purchases on a single card and pay my balance off in full every month and have never gone lower than 780 and am currently above 810. Just pay your bills on time and occasionally put a big ticket purchase on your card.

Hmmm. Maybe because that first card with annual fee is like never active? I almost never use it. Fucking arcane jew points

>I spend $400 alone in fuel in order to wage slave
AHAHAHHAAHAHAAHHAA OH WOW HOW MUCH OF A KEK CAN YOU BE

well credit is power
when you allow yourself extra power, you feel compelled to use it
when you allow yourself only the power you have previously allocated, you don't spend the power you will allocate next friday ;)

always get the card you want before cancelling an older card

as far as credit, it's better to ask for additional credit on existing cards

Does your business reimburse you for gas?
Even if you don't think so, you should always ask.

At the very least, keep your receipts and make it a tax writeoff

youre glowing in broad daylight

>pay cash
>longer lines as people count change
>bunch of fucking coins in your pocket
>constantly going to ATMs

why are cashfags so pathetic?

Might be a long shot but does anyone here have or have tried to get a IHG Rewards Club Premier Credit Card?

My local (as in only) grocery store is a fagit and wont accept Visa. I use Chase as my bank and their ONLY non-visa card is that IHG hotel one.
I mean the free night (basically the cost of the yearly fee) does sound nice and some of the other benefits.

I'm only worried that I may not get it, It requires a decent credit to get. finder.com says it needs 670 or higher, and I'm just over at 682 because I'm a headcrab but I already have one hard inquiry as of late last year from fucking nigger paypal who denied me their based 6 month to pay off thing.

you are missing control then.

>why are cashfags so pathetic?
Honestly, if there were a way to use cash with the same convenience as a credit card, I’d be a lot more partial to it. You can’t get stuck in debt spending money you actually have.

Visa platinium, they are cheap as fuck here.

>what is a debit card
>what is a prepaid card

This. I get a couple grand a year back and pay zero interest. Gotta out-Jew the Jew.

>hurr durr you're missing control
no, you're wasting your money on frivolous bullshit. if you didn't use credit you wouldn't be such a consumer cow

They dont unfortunately, but they help me out in other ways. They have an auto shop and they do things for me like tires and whatnot. I have been tempted to ask, but it's only 2,000 miles a month so it isnt toooo bad.

>what is a debit card
>what is a prepaid card
Not real cash since I can’t use my debit card to buy things off Craigslist. Also, for whatever reason debit cards always seem to be more touch and go in where they’re accepted.

just don't be an asshole about asking

>hey boss, do we have any programs for gas/commute savings? I'm just asking because I was looking at some CCs with gas rewards

how fucking often are you buying shit on Craigslist?

My spending did not change much when I got my card. Before I would make purchases on frivolous bullshit after my check cleared, now I only do it once a month after the start of the next billing cycle. If anything, it gives me more control because I have more time to think about it before I buy something really expensive.

And for example, my last 6 months of big purchases were literally all car parts to get my car ready for trackdays this season so ehh.

Amex gold.

I've been able to consolidate 90% of all my spending into grocery store. The tend to have tons of gift cards so I can still get x4 on things that aren't groceries. ie ebay amazon. nike, flights etc.

Attached: index.jpg (311x162, 6K)

I have bought shit off CL using vemno and/or paypal.

>Uber visa
maddox?

I have a debit card and I'm waiting on my secured card to arrive in the mail, should be here in a few days.
How come I was rejected from a student card? Because I don't have any credit? Fucking gay

You're still single. Escorts and fat girls don't count.

tl;dr you're a dumb fucking nigger

What most people don't know is that credit cards are a whole shitload safer if it gets stolen. With credit, it's the bank's money that got stolen and you are only on the hook for a few hundred. With debit, it's your money stolen out of your checking account, and the bank is obligated to search for it for 30 days or something before giving up. Also credit cards help your credit history a ton, so if you can pay that shit off consistently it only helps you.
(Only applies to US)

In the US doesnt the govt insure up to 250k?

General Purpose:
BoA [Professional-Org Specific] Card - 2% on most shit; 3% on online shit

Amazon Prime Visa because I buy mostly from Amazon

Costco Card
>dat 5% on gas
>dat 3% on Costco

>Imagine being in debt, ever

#justmuttthings

Depends on how fast you report for debit. I just checked, it's $50 for credit and for debit:
If you report the day it is stolen: $0
Within 2 business days: $50
More than 2 days: $500
More than 60 days: everything.
If you use your debit card online and it gets stolen from a poorly secured website, you're on the hook for 500 in most cases. If they slip the charges past you for a few months, you owe it all.

yeah buying a house is such a meme or especially a car.

just fucking walk u dumb normies, am i right or wat

There's probably still tax deductions for fuel, about $0.50 a mile. Trump removed a bunch of useful tax shit because he's a mega jew so it might not exist anymore.

Navy Federal flagship rewards Visa.
hooyah.

>cards
it's 2019, why would you...
>murican express
oh I see

Is there a decent Virtual Credit Card these days? Entropay is ded.

I have 4 main credit cards just for the different cash back points.

I've tried for the last couple of times, cant put down commuting miles but I said I drive 3,000 miles (it's probably half that) for work on my own expense, but it is less back than just taking the basic tax deduction pack for my bracket so w/e.

botnet

A student-only visa I forgot to change 10 years ago.

I got an unsecured amazon credit card with a reasonable 3k limit and $0 yearly as my first card lol.
It helps when my amazon account has purchased over $50,000 in merchandise at that time and $25k of it that year.
I dont think they could say yes fast enough :^)

I'm not American, so I can use debit.

>he doesn't have the Chase Palladium card
>he doesn't have the Citi Chairman card

Post what you have?

Paypal credit card w/ 2% cashback on everything.

Attached: 1552425826871.jpg (3024x4032, 2.37M)

I've been thinking about getting the amazon visa card lately, I already have a cc with my local credit union and while they offer some really good rates their rewards are non existsnt.

I was hoping to get either an amazon or paypal cc for online use, and use my credit union cc for irl stuff.

Are there downaides to having more than 1 cc? Ive been smart enough to never buy anything I can't afford. I only really use ccs to up my credit score. I don't know much about the pros/cons of having 2 especially if I'm conatsntly using both.

Americans explain credit scores to me. They seem dystopian

all of them

Yeah out of all my cards the Uber card gets noticed the most.

Yes, uber is no fees and 4% back on food/bars.

It's a way for credit agencies to determine if they can trust you woth credit. Not really dystopian. The only shitty thing is that if you check it too much it will decrease automatically dur to it looking like you're worried about it.

Lower scores mean banks will hesitate to lend to you or charge you higher rates. Higher scores allow you to be lent more and overall is something that will do a shitton for you in America.

You need a 5% back on gas card dude you're leaving money on the table using Amazon card for that.

Costco is only 4% on gas don't lie Costco shill.

I've only ever had a debit card (UK), have about 30k cash in the bank. What's the point in credit cards exactly? some people said because of online purchase protection but I had issue with my debit card where some one stole the details and spent a couple k on it and the bank just gave me the money back the next day.

Rate me:

AMEX Plat (5x airlines/travel)
Schwab Debit (no ATM/international fees)
Chase Sapphire Preferred (domestic spending, places that don't take AMEX, chase bonus categories)

I bought like $1.5k in the past year, probably not enough but I'll go for it. I did get rejected from 2 cards recently tho and I heard it's not good to apply for a bunch within a few days.

>he needs credit to buy a house or car in his country

Attached: 1530403709470.gif (300x396, 1.19M)

No, but you do need credit to loan money for a house or car with a good rate

So you do need credit to buy a house, stupid burger.

>needing a loan
poorfag detected

No, you need credit to loan. Are you retarded? Do you really think loans are required to purchase things?

I have the same card except I have a $10K limit. I'm such a consumer whore.

Which one should I get ;-;

Laughing at people that use cash back cards. Literally only poor people use them.
>Let me get 5 different cash back credit cards so I can use each one on a different shopping category to maximize my returns!
Meanwhile people who aren't poor use AmEx Gold/Platinum (depending on if you travel often) and Chase Sapphire Preferred/Reserve (again, depending on if you travel often).
Obviously the AmEx Centurion card is the most attainable of the ultra-exclusive cards if you have a business.

>Chase Palladium
It's the Reserve Card now retard, and it offers no extra benefits over the Sapphire Reserve. It's basically just Chase saying "Thanks for having over $10 million managed with us, here's a fancy version of our Sapphire Reserve card."
