cause linux has no games

I get the cpus, but why are intlel shills shilling a fucking linux distro?

I use it rn and my wifi stops working, have no ethernet nor usb with any OS. Amifucked?

It literally runs faster than any other distro and is bleeding edge without being an unstable and unsecure piece of shit like Arch.

they ripped off copy's logo

>designed with the developer in mind

WTF does that even mean?
all a developer needs is an IDE and a browser

>It literally runs faster than any other distro
this
as much as I want to shit on it, it destroys any other distro in like 48 out of 50 benchmarks.

>all a developer needs is an IDE and a browser
all you need is a polarized laser and a magnifying glass

Optimized libraries and packages, so compile times will be faster.

>unsecure
then secure it u brainlet

It sounds like you're a ricer - you can afford fucking around instead of being productive.

>trusting Intel with operating system when all of their processors from the last 30 years ago have 50+ hardware security vulnerabilities

even if Clear Linux was faster, all mitigations and patches for Intel processors will make it slower than even the most shitty Linux distro out there

[citation needed]

>only clear linux is affected by patches
retard kys asap

How many extra backdoors?

Does it come with a GUI for ME?

Does it turn off IntelCPUExploitMitigations so I get moar FPS in my fortnite gaming sess?

Is it epic?

I can't install it, I have a legacy bios.

After they found that backdoor in it Ill pass

I haven't tried this distro, can you install it on p67 tier mobos? (no uefi)

I'm not sure but I think this only runs on uefi.

Nice source bro.

Because my linux is dirty and I'm too lazy to clean it.

All the patches and source code is on github. Why not take a look at it for yourself?

binaries always match external source code, it is known

If you have found a contradiction where the binary does not match the source code, share it with us.

What package manager is it based on?
>Steam
I'm almost sold on this. Redpill me further, so I can finally abandon the >muh sekrit club that is Arch

But I'm using

>what package manager is it based on?
It's not based on any other package manager
>I'm almost sold on this. Redpill me further, so I can finally abandon the >muh sekrit club that is Arch
Steam just werks on my machine. See the steam icon on dock here

using botnet distro for botnet cpus by botnet company

Why even use pozzed botnet CPUs bulldozer tier because -25% performance?

Why is there an asterisk as if there's some sort of disclaimer?

Attached: file.png (1142x364, 67K)

Is this distro can use nvidia gpu? I think i will try on my laptop, i dont care if it free or nonfree driver

I liked that Qogir theme.
I wonder what that asterisk means, coming from something made by Intel.

Attached: 1490818845231.png (368x376, 4K)

Because there's an older, unrelated distro called Clear OS, which is a Red Hat fork

clearlinux.org/documentation/clear-linux/tutorials/nvidia

>he doesnt have the 5.1.2 kernel
LOL
arch is superior

Does it run Microsoft Office without trouble?

And Adobe CC?

I know of the Open Source alternatives, but due to work reasons, I have to use both MS and Adobe CC.

>efi requirement
damn damn damn damn

You mean recompile all packages with hardened flags? Why not go with Gentoo at that point?

how lame

I mean, if you are strictly required to use Microshaft Office and Adookie Photoshop, then stick to Wangblows
From my point of view, any Linux|GNU/Linux|BusyBox/Linux distribution is for:
>People who want a distraction-less environment to focus on their shit (stupid, but a valid reason)
>People that need all of the system's resources dedicated to running a service, like servers or HTPCs
>People that for whatever reason are stuck with old hardware that struggles under a Windows installation due to its crap factor
>People wanting to escape the botnet because of muh freedumbs
>Autists with a lot of free time and a thirst for attention that will spend their days ricing their shitty Arch Linux installations and mocking everyone else for actually doing something productive with their lives

And this is why I use Windows on my actual PCs and Linux on my servers.

Does it have DNSCrypt preinstalled?
I would only use it if I didnt have to go through
the hassle of having to setup encrypted DNS
That's why I use a different version of Linux

Arch fag proud he has the latest untested kernel that has security bugs. Color me surprised.

it uses Gnome.
I fucking hated Gnome before, and I hate 3 with passion.

it's just a binary Gentoo with Intel flags...
they could have just used Ubuntu, rebuild the kernel + all packages Gentoo-like, and end up with a distro that just works and have tons more packages...

desu anyone here could make a new Clear Linux spin of any distro (granted you have money for build servers)... only thing I am not sure about is... what compiler they use? the Intel one, or GCC/Clang?

> use Ubuntu on my server
> cp stock config
> make oldconfig all yes
> compile
> wait 5 min
> wow I have latest kernel
durrrr

linucks has no gaems xDDD

You don't know nothing about Clear Linux

>just a binary gentoo
>they could have just used Ubuntu
>rebuild the kernel + all packages like gentoo

OK. Now compile gentoo and all packages with Intel flags and come here later to post the results between Gentoo and Clear Linux.

I am not that bored. Used Gentoo for years, but no thanks, luckily there are better things to do now.

For real though I would bet it comes super close.
> Always moving with the latest compiler (llvm, currently GCC 9), optimized for Intel Architecture, giving access to the latest features.
> Constantly applying compiler flags to optimize builds.
> Multi-build approach to allow for all CPU optimizations, including AVX512.

You can use Phoronix's suite and really just a Gentoo with base install I suppose and a custom kernel (disable EXPERT flag, debug, etc).
IT will be hella close.

that font looks hideous

I don't like cults.

>made by intlel
>compiled from gentoo
yeah, nope, I'm fucking off back to debian. enjoy your shit

all you need is Emacs and some beer.

Clear Linux is not compiled from gentoo, retard

I don’t even use Clear (GNU/)Linux and I know it’s created from scratch. Where did you even get the notion it’s based on gentoo?

>Origin: Israel
dropped

You need go back

My cpu doesn't have SSE 4.2

Where does it say that it's compiled from gentoo?

i am now

How'd you get it to display the logo?

What a vapid sales pitch.

sloppy job mossad

>website is filled with icc disclaimers
No thanks. I'm not using shit that intentionally cripples performance because I chose to not to use a cheese hole security CPU

Bruh AMD cpus take advantage of the optimizations too.

computer isn't console

update your neofetch

I'm using the latest release from GitHub.

Because in not fucking 12 years old trying to impress my friends that I'm le l33t h4ckorz using Linux.

I have a job and for my job I need windows. Because SolidWorks, autocad mastercam and any real professional software that's used in engineering that isn't server side uses windows.

And before you suggest workarounds to get it working, you've clearly never worked in a job where you can't dick around all day because you're scared of some boogyman stealing your precious Loli porn data.

That's why. I forget which bundle it's in, but get neofetch using swupd.

LMAOOO I made this thread as a stupid joke
fuck clear linux but this is funny as fuck though
y'all so sheep

jokes are supposed to be funny

>reddit spacing
and you expect me to not treat you like 12yo? lmao get out

>someone at intel was autistic enough to roll out a fork of neofetch with custom ascii art

>hay guize look at my literallywho linux meme distro
Fuck you.

Steam was dropping frames like mad. But the distro was snappy for everything else

israel is a well-known spyware peddler so being suspicious of an israeli distro is normal

>if a company has r&d facilities in israel, they're israel

>optimized for security and performance
further down they state that they optimize for intel CPUs, so which is it?

Too many distro's to be honest. Everytime I look at Linux land there's just too much shit to install, what the fuck is apt, AUR, yum, all this other shit.

Don't care for it honestly. I juse use a macOS hackintosh for all my opensores shit.

the other benchmarks being having a useable computer in under 5 hours

if you hate autistic shit about tech why even on Jow Forums

You need Israeli government clearance to work I some parts of Intel

Seems like you can sit around shitposting on 4channel instead of being productive

you need security clearance basically anywhere at any modern semiconductor company due to the nature of the materials used in the fabrication process

It has israeli backdoors.

>Joining the MOSSAD botnet voluntarily

Attached: 1542056526350.png (900x900, 18K)

Jow Forums is a comsumer tech shitpost board, and /v/'s backyard on top of that.

Well you've clearly never worked a job where you CAN dick around all day.

>wine (and proton) don't exist
Windows is a legacy OS.

I'll be honest, I'd use it just to have penguin ascii art. how long does it take to have a usable install?

when you install gentoo

gentoo doesn't have a penguin, it has a stylized G. not worth installing

t. underage

Why you using the latest release from Github if neofetch comes pre-installed on Clear Linux?

is this what it looks like out of the box?

Yes for the most part
By default the dock is on the left and the background is slightly different, but this only takes a second to change
