just go to any online store and sort by price, it's not that difficult. if you're REALLY lazy/clueless:
regular option:

144hz screen option:

if you're buying from well known brands it's all the same shit anyway.

It's not bad, just wondering if there is anything better
I travel all the time, I am never in the same place for more than a few days.
Thanks fren.

make sure to compare the specs, the cheapest one i've linked has the biggest screen and the least storage. if this will be your main machine personally i'd go with that + external storage or the 144hz option + an external second 60hz monitor.

The dell midrange gaming laptops are pretty good. I have a Dell Inspiron 15 7000 I got on sale a year ago for about 900 bucks. Still runs muh games just fine at 1080p 60fps.

My Dell gayming laptop runs fine. Not everyone wants to see grass in 4k turbo autist.

Whatever used laptop has the best GPU in your area

>Buying anything new
Enjoy getting cucked.

The wife wound up getting a gaming laptop about a year and a half ago. Spent like 750 at the time.
I got a 7 year old HP Elitebook 8770w a few months ago. I don't know what kind of i7 she has in there, but I know it's newer than mine, as her computer is newer than mine. We both have 16gb of RAM. We both have SSDs. I legitimately can't tell any real difference between the two, performance-wise. Of course, neither of us go for huge games, so maybe it would edge out my elitebook if playing something like Shadow of the Tomb Raider. But for shit like Darkest Dungon and Hollow Knight, both run smooth as butter.

Build a desktop. Only correct answer

I've owned two gaming laptops that ran me around 1500-1700$ and each time they would get so hot it would down clock the cpu and or gpu. This is even with a cooling pad and having to change the thermal paste.I'm selling my gaming laptop right now and getting a 1080 for my desktop and a 4k monitor and a new desk. One laptop got so hot that it started burning my fingers playing rainbow 6 siege.

>gaming
>MS Office
>laptop
>9900K(elvin) re-entry vehicle
>internal RAID storage
>almost 8 grand and most likely gets less FPS than 2 grand desktop
I know you just checked every option but why is this even a thing

>$8k
>1080p
hahahahaha

I bet you can get over 10k with a Falcon Northwest laptop

>Not sure if someone is paying attention to my posts or someone else is just awesome.

My Dell Inspiron 7577 is pretty dope. Got it from MicroCenter for under $1k. Runs skyrim at ultra quality

If your buying new on amazon the dell g3 is the only laptop id buy at stock price

If you find anything with betterspecs but cheaper get it but the G3 imo is better since they have wayy less GAYMER RGB RED ACCENT ASTETIC so id not ve ashamed to actually "travel" with a "portable computer"

close, but it's kinda cheating since the paintjob is 800 bucks and you'll get a mouse + usb keyboard.
what kind of person would buy this though

Stop buying meme hardware, 1080p >60fps is prime for laptop.

I needed a laptop for travel for inb4 it's shit
I can play most games on high @ 1080p with the exception of GTA V. I'm a 30-year-old man: if I bought a serious gaming rig I'd might as well start drinking onions and start posting selfies online with my mouth wide open.

Good choice, love the aesthetic of the Y series, would trade my dell G7 for the y540. Too bad they don't offer bigger battery for the HDD space.

You can get a geforce gtx 1050 equipped Asus laptop for that.

But don't expect miracles, gaming laptops that run modenr things on high settings start at 2500 $.

I like it too, and it's surprisingly sturdy for a $1000 MSRP laptop. The 250GB SSD is WAY too small for real gaming. I hadn't played "real" vidya for over 6 years, didn't realize the average installation size is now +70GBs per game. Nonetheless I feel it's decent bang for the buck.

Ew no the hinges on these are fucking GARBAGE
