Why the thinkpad A485 is so based Jow Forums ?
Thinkpad A485 is the best thinkpad
because I prefer latitudes
thanks, just bought 100k
Based and redpilled I'm waiting for Zen 2 before I get an AMD laptop (hopefully Thinkpad)
>Cheap
Got my X1 for $1k with an HDR screen and i7 from the outlet.
I looked at the A485 but they only came with meme tier screens and they had worse basically everything.
how need more than 1080p ?
>Budgie
you should feel ashamed
Considering the same purchase. Why did you go with glossy screen?
budgie is gnome if it's was good
enjoy your shitty battery life
who need more than 6 hours ?
both are trash
very nice font aliasing. Care to post your Xft / fontconfig settings?
why do you think budgie is trash ?
people who work remotely
just buy another battery
Muh nigga, except the linux part
does the rear battery actually improve your battery life?
Also, does your Linux has ever froze/hanged?
>arch
>meme desktop fork of gnome
wow...... i guess it really it's summer
>does the rear battery actually improve your battery life?
here, you get combined 96Wh. Max power consumption is slightly lower than Intel, but idle is 3 times of intel because no advanced power management such as speedshift
>>does the rear battery actually improve your battery life?
Well, that's why I asked, most of these 'AMD' thinkpads have shitty battery life, even with rear battery. Because their base clock is way too high for a laptop while most intel thinkpads run at 1.80 GHz at max.
If the rear battery doesn't bring any change I'm more interested in the newer series (495) with the newer Ryzen cpus
I'd agree if I wouldn't be looking for a 15inch laptop..
Wait for T495/X395/X295.
>Ryzen 3000 APUs
>starting at $1400 from Lenovo themselves
Fuck Australia
The base clock don't matter because of shit like speedshift and speedstep where the CPU goes to
>T495
soldered ram and wifi, nope
>X395
soldered ram and wifi, no hdd option, only ssd (thus you can't have two ssd's)
Only good thing is their Ryzen Pro series
E495 has Ryzen 3000, hdd(or sata ssd) + ssd m.2, upgradable ram, you can swap your wifi card if you need, only problem is, chink plastic, because this is budget thinkpads line, no backlit keyboard or fingerprint (somehow available in the E490 intel)
Too many thinkpads, with pros and cons, don't even know what to buy anymore ffs
>he thinks a thinkpad that isn't a T420/X220 is the best thinkpad
I'd like to hijack this shill thread to ask a real question: why do people with boring Winshit x86 computers running pleb distros even bother installing screenfetch?
