Shut it down!

The universe is programmed in lisp

maybe infinite?

sleep is just part of the concurrency model, the universe pauses during that time and you wake up with newly loaded dreams. If you try and stay awake too long, you die, the scheduler has decided to move on to another bit of work.

d=0

Anything simulating this moment is going for deep accuracy, so even if there is a resimulation of this exact moment, it won't affect you in any legal way.

The simulator works by taking peanutbutter and putting it in the sandwich with the jelly and some milk and a cookie.

This is true.

>awake too long
What's too long?

You're thinking about this all wrong. Sleep isn't programmed in. Humans aren't programmed in. The only thing that is programmed is physics. After that everything we know about life and the universe and ourselves applies. Big bang, evolution and shit.

GNU/Universe

This

Zero. Even if it was possible to simulate qualia on computers it still would never be done because there is no way to test it (can't even check if other humans have qualia) and therefore no way to implement it.

So it will never happen and cannot ever happen in any universe, even if creatures who read minds existed, what they really experience is still only their own qualia.

>he actually fell for the qualia meme
dualist drivel, kys

Qualia exists for anyone who is conscious. If you aren't conscious and if you are just some automata then of course you don't experience consciousness. But those with consciousness experience it and experience other things.

It's actually recursively infinite, no matter what what way you go up or down, you will just end up in more simulations, but never the base simulation.

The whole point of ancestor simulations isn't to trap everyone in a simulation, but to pop them out upon the computation of their death, by recreating their body in the physical world. There's no point doing that until you've already achieved immortality for the entire population, so the simulation doesn't have to simulate everything up to its own present, it just has to simulate everything up to the moment we invent widescale immortality. From there, we can save space by recording our personal lives, and not losing information to universal entropy.

The argument that everything will be simulated all the time forever, is complete nonsense. You have a 50/50 chance of being the version of you running in an ancestor simulation unless you've already achieved immortality. But the sim will have to be perfectly accurate, so it's not something that you'd be able to observe. No simulation god would be able to influence the sim in the case, because it's not a god. It's a future civilization.

People need to learn conditional probability. Go back to until you have.

thats just logically equivalent to zero simulation

11 days

I thought that 4 days and you’re done

you get killed by the watchdog if you do not yield time back to the task scheduler.

who cares it makes no difference to us

not like anyone cares what is real anyway. we don't want to think about hard questions we want the world to be idealistic, fair, and equal.

GMs, please increase my stats. My stats are shit

If you don't mind the time you can make a Turing machine that can simulate an entirely universe.

You can't know if you are inside a Turing Machine

There seems to be enough people invoking the simulation hypothesis without realizing that it amounts to a modern retelling of the story of Plato’s cave

I asked God yesterday, he said 3. But He also said Terry was helping Him with program and new one. So we will be 4 deep soon.

Only dumbfuck normalfags think we aren't in a simulation because "it just feels so real bro!"

Explain.
