Can Linux do this?
Can Linux do this?
Do what? Tell me how much space I've used? Yeah every OS does that OP, glad crapple patched it in for you.
>too low IQ to understand a pie chart
>He needs a pie chart because he can't do basic addition and subtraction.
The state of itoddlers
Copy percentage indicator as pie chart? Nautilus does that (at least for all files that you copy; not sure about individual files/directories).
Yes, showing how far each individual file/directory is being copied.
Can macos merge directories with the same name?
tfw every time you want to look up any non-trivial disk usage data on windoze you have to do it in bash for windows
bad
For years
why would you need 14 clocks?
>how-to-access-hidden-merge-option-in-mac-os-x-finder
#JustMuslimStuff
a terminal is faster than displaying a pie chart
What even is the purpose of that?
Working OS? Of course not.
They're obviously ripping off KDE.
No. Linux is a kernel tho, so........
linux can have a shitty ui too...
if you want it to
Linux has no graphical interface.
It's transfer progress for each file you dingus
I don't think it needs to but I'll think about it.
WHE THE FUCK WOULD ANYONE NEED THAT ARE YOU MACFAGS SO IMPATIENT YOU NEEDD PROGRESS ON EACH SINGLE FILE? YOU CANT EVEN MERGE FOLDERS OR MAXIMIZE WINDOWS. IFAGS ABSOLUTELY BTFO! I WET MY PROGRAMMING SOCKS.
Faggot shit.
yeah you are right
No, Linux is a kernel, not a file manager. You may want to try one of the many file managers such as Nautilus, Dolphin or Thunar to see if they have those features.
>Copying ROMs
Sorry user but I just reported you to the FBI for copyright infringement.
It's literally pointless eye candy, lol
That's very neat, i hope someone adds a patch to dolphin but looks like a fair amount of work. Gonna see if i can open i bug as a wish for this if i remember when i have some time. I would like to learn qt and the other technologies used on plasma at some point and give a shot to implement something.
How is it pointless?
>No, Linux is a kernel, not a file manager. You may want t…
There's already a fat progress bar window, why would I need 10 more small ones?
Because his sorry operating system doesn’t have it.
Ah, of course, typical Lintard seethe.
>is so retarded that he accidentally strawmans OP with different feature
>"yeah Linux can do that"
>still doesn't get it
>"why would you need that?"
>(why would he say this if it is so available on linux?)
>gets called out on his 6-year-old image comprehension
>"t-that's for faggots a-anyway"
The goalposts just keep moving and moving with Linux users.
Not anyone from this thread but why WOULD you need that? The progress bar tells you the full picture. Are you not checking the progress bar, only the little circles next to each folder? What exactly can be gained by looking at them, any actual use case?
;)
Retard.
This. Seems like useless eye candy, just like Apple products really. Oh, I guess that answers that question.
What's the point? It's not like you're going to yank out the USB when only half the files are finished copying, because that's going to corrupt the filesystem anyway.
why?
--progress
lmao, since a few months ago. Nice "hidden feature" that windows & GNU had for 20 years.
>unironically showing his Porn folder to public
so?
Mac OS X 10.9
A few months ago
your gay
>feature not in OSX
LOL, Y NO BASIC FUNCTIONALITY?
>feature in OSX not in other operating system(s)
Why the fuck would anyone need that?
>feature finally gets added to other operating system(s)
bfd, it's not like someone wouldn't have come up with it eventually
somewhat reliable linux ux is stuck in 2003 but more fugly due to weird alignments and inconsistencies, fucked up theming etc or with something slow and broken like GNOME3
KDE is unreliable crap also
FOOT GTK+3 design guidelines and widgets is best u have lol
pic related - how could you even expect thoughtful polished features being implemented in this scenario?
LoooOOOL
I'd rather take the non-damaging merge function than a tiny graph next to every folder. Yes it's true that all the features eventually get added to every OS but better start with the important ones.
Ah, of course, typical iTodler seethe.
