Try typing democratieparticipative.club (French equivalent of Daily Stormer) in Qwant, Bing and Google. It won't appear in Qwant.

I used to use Qwant but they went to the anti terrorist content convention in france about removing "terrorist" content from the internet. By terrorist content what that usually means is opinions outside of the mainstream, which is anyone to the right of Stalin. I find this rich as Qwant like position themselves for being for freedom and privacy. I have now removed them and am now using Startpage instead.

No it's not, but for the sake of argument let's say it is, you can disable or enable what you want to see in the settings, if you still find it bloated however you can use the "Qwant Lite" interface.

Always use a search engine/other web services from a country unlikely to cooperate with your own. If you're American/Euro use Yandex (Baidu sucks). If you're Russian/other third worlder use Qwant. Never ever use Google or Bing or Yahoo as they will cooperate will all national governments (except for the PRC in Google's case)

Because Qwant is actually shit. And I don't mean that in a Jow Forums way of saying, where everything gets labeled as shit, whether it really is or not. I mean it quite honestly. Their search results are ridiculously bad, not only compared to literally anyone else, but in general.
Even if you search for simple stuff you'll get top results that have literally nothing to do with what you looked for and the relevant stuff can appear up to 20 entries too far down, instead of being in the first 3 results.
It's embarassing.

Used Qwant for the last year and a half. The results aren't that bad and it's made quite the progress in the last year. However... reading what people are saying in this thread along with using DDG the last week on my phone, I'm fucking torn. DDG results and format are comfy AF. I'm not a fan of DDG being in us, hosted on rented aws servers or weinbergs pasts but fuck them results are nice.
Start page,search,etc eftc are okay but ddg is next level. I'm choosing the lesser of the two evils now.
Also I don't get anyone that's uses yandex in the states. Shits poor on mobile, returns Russian results and can't compete in USA market.
