The climate has been warming up over thousands of years, since the last ice age. Humans may have accelerated it in the past couple of centuries, but that doesn't mean we can stop it.

If you looked at the map he posted, literal third world countries like South Africa, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Iran, are way ahead in CO2 per capita emissions than more developed countries in Europe (Spain, Italy, Greece, France, Portugal), South America (Argentina, Chile) or Asia (Japan, NZ).

CO2 per capita does not correlate with development and it's a valid metric to put the spotlight where it belongs. If the US won't even sign the Kyoto Protocol why would the Chinese even bother to adapt their growth to lower emissions?
