The day AMD fulfills it's last contractual order with Global Foundries's horse-and-buggy operation and can shift their entire product stack over to a fab actually worth a damn, there will be much rejoicing.
If Samsung actually uses current Radeon GPU IP then it means they've wasted billions in R&D and given up on their own internally designed GPU arch. AMD's new arch scales better. This is probably something thats been in the works behind the scenes for years between AMD and Samsung.
AMD is getting whatever revenue they can from their Radeon division before the rest of the industry catches up.
