>is it the future
definitely no. don't get your hopes up
>should i start learning it
it certainly won't hurt to have another skill so go ahead

Useful for java developers because employers are retarded.

If you're a java developer stick with spring boot.

Maybe not the future,
but a good investment to find a code monkey job for sure.
Even the NASA is using it.

m-mommy

C-can I get the milky ?

>learning memelang

I recently gave a try to Vue.js & Angular. Both over node.js.
It was more bloat than anything else and useless in the end.

>spring anything
>2019

Lmao

So Go is the go-to for web

>CURRENT YEAR
Nice try, oldfag. Don't you know that all of the Jow Forumsthedonald posters made CURRENT YEAR into english man bad meme?

PROOOOT :DDD

what is the actual language that will be (or remain) important in the next years?

C++, Java, C#, Python and JavaScript are the safe bets.

node is the past retard
the future is rust, go, c#, java vert.x all of which now do async i/o better than node could ever do

>future
>rust, go
lol, keep dreaming brainlet tranny

idk but I have a very comfy job spending all my time in AWS and Node projects

It's PRÖÖÖH :DDD, you uncultured swine.

amazon uses rust in production
discord uses rust in production
sentry.io uses rust in production

the actix framework written in rust is currently #1 in the tech empoer benchmarks in 5/7 tests

there's rewrites happening in rust, e.g. prisma or github.com/zhihu/rucene
If you cannot see the writing on the wall, I pity you

This is bait.

>Amazon
Good start, wow. Big Company! Compelling.
>discord
That's an electron.js app. So, whatever they are allegedly doing on the backend...
>sentry.io
>.io domain name
Wow, that list dropped off fast.

it's just the ones that came to my mind the fastest, actix for example is made by a microsoft dev

As for discord: Who care about their client other than consumers? The backend is where the magic happens: blog.discordapp.com/using-rust-to-scale-elixir-for-11-million-concurrent-users-c6f19fc029d3?source=---------0-----------------------

cloudflare uses it too

>the actix framework written in rust is currently #1 in the tech empoer benchmarks in 5/7 tests
I supppose noone else that fuckhueg companies need to give a shit about webserver performance. For most people, the inconvenience of having to write rust shouldn't be worth it.

What? I'm just merely saying relying on a bunch of runtime generated code, minutes long startup time, literal type errors at runtime and on top of that having fuck huge call stacks vs some basic bitch Express app or vert.x or literally anything made in the last 5-6 years beats up spring's aborted concepts of java and web.

Still used by literally everyone. And I know for a fact 2 major telecoms and some financial institutions are just now moving to it

I know. I use to work for a healthcare company that was big on spring shit. It's still fucking awful.

I'm a beginner but one of the pros of nodejs is rapid prototyping isn't it?
people use it to put their product in the market fast then once it grows they usually switch to java or c#, at least that's what I've been reading

Think dumber, like completely tech illiterate.

"It says here you do Java. That's perfect! We need soneone to join our Javascript web team..."

how do a white guy learn java tho? The web is full of pajeet tutorials

Can you elaborate?
Why is it so awful?

amazon heavily uses it still, even on new systems
