Ring -3.

>disable Cortana and do as much as I can to prevent it from running
>Open up task manager
>It's running

Better to be safe and more sure you're not a pedo than to risk it

>set laptop down
>terminal flashes up for an instant
>gone instantly

>he doesn't shut down his computer at night

>not setting a custom fan profile
>not having noctura that's basically inaudible
Fanlets

>disable mouse wakeup
>put computer to sleep
>tap side of desk
>computer wakes up

>not using a custom BIOS without SMI

this shit triggers me so much, i now ALWAYS turn off power supply, no more random start up's in the middle of the night.
what's more fucked up is that this piece of shit will turn on and let monitor stay turned off, it even show orange color (no signal), and start doing his shady shitty things like a fucking rat, hoping i won't notice that tractor being turn on, holy fuck, whoever thought its a good idea to randomly turn users PC at night should be dead for the end of the days

>put computer to sleep
>walk over to bed, finally get comfy after 15 minutes
>*computer wakes up* *EEEEEEEEE*

FFFLOOOOEEEEEEEENNNNSSSSS

Something similar happens to me with my mouse. Its laser light turns on sometimes when I sleep (at the other side of the room).

Set wake up triggers to power button only, you doofus.

>activate wake on lan
>computer turns on by itself at random
It was comfy to turn it on from the bed, but it was getting too spooky

>platy bideo gaym
>press pause leave the PC unattended
>fans blowing full throttle
>CPU peeking 99%
>open task manager
>everything is back to normal
Kinda odd isnt it huh.
digital currency was a mistake.
there is malware literally in everything because of it.

>turn pc on
>fans rev loudly for a moment

Windows 10 comes with annoying wake timers, you can disable them with this .bat file, you will also need psexec for this:

>any update at all
>anus forgets my fan profile and starts revving up all the fans to 60% below 50C again

Ain't it some frame drawing limiter or whatever not doing it's thang? I know of one vidya that would hit some ridiculous FPS numbers in the menus.

would never hear it I'm a heavy sleeper and in bed

>own pc
>It has fans

yup

>shutting down computers
seriously man who does that?

Based Intel user

>Old power supply blasted its fan whenever I turned on my PC
>Replace it and everything's quiet when I turn shit on
>Get a RX580
>Fucker blasts its fan for a solid 5 seconds at boot/wake
Why is this shit allowed

Come on you cow!

>notice rj45 jack LEDs blinking

>i use intel mobo

>>itt,
You need to be lurking, not posting.

this is upsetting to me as well and i am tired of this, i will become violent soon

You should have disabled side of desk wakeup.

USB polling BTFO

PS/2 master race.

>reducing the lifespan of you're hardware by turning it on and off

its an anti dust build up measure

Nvidia drivers make my linux installs sound like spaceships taking off. When I use openGL they hardly ever run at all.

I remember reading that the Israelis got the tech companies to write some software to make fans and mechanical hdds noisy so they could record that noise and decode it to whatever your cpu was up to, just saying.

I know for a fact my phone is being monitored (thanks Jow Forums) and every now and again on one of my linux boxes the screen flashes occasionally like it's taking screenshots

Spooky, maybe it's time to run BSD

This

*your

Why didn't my 660Ti do that then?

>randomly turn users PC at night
Is this a thing? How can I experience this feature? I run Debian Jessie.

What are you even talking about you obsessed faggot

>he doesnt cut off any power connection to pc when sleeping

Some things do this, some don't. My old 8800GT did, and my current 1080 Ti doesn't at least that I've noticed. 8800GT was a blower card so it sounded like it was about to take off. This 1080 Ti isn't and doesn't make nearly as much noise even if I max out the fans.

Stop projecting

Or else

I've literally had this happen. Turned off the psu, fans still spinning. Unplugged the cord, fans still spinning. Turns out the specific combination of monitor and video card backfed power through the hdmi cable and made my fans light up and spin slowly. Funny.

Play vidya...tSSSSSSSSS
keep playing vidya
fast foward 3 months later playing vidya
computer shuts down

thats a myth

Imagine being this schizo

Attached: 1470573046226.webm (688x472, 103K)

Actually not a myth. Caps tend to go when turning things on or off.

wtf that sounds like a terror movie
are you sure your pc was completely unplugged?

I cannot find that option

>he doesn't know about Van Eck phreaking...

>keyboard starts typing in the middle of the night

Attached: ▄█▀_█▬█_█_▀█▀.jpg (789x702, 48K)

Yeah. absolutely sure. I unplugged it and everything in case my psu's switch wasn't working. My monitor was on because I was using it with my laptop and that turned out to be backfeeding power into the video card's hdmi port which somehow made it to the case fans; no cpu fan spinning of course.

I hope you are getting investigated by mistake or some similar shit
good luck and thanks for explanation

>turn on wireless mouse
>laser hits me straight in the eye
I hate my life.

>>cpu working without its fan
You misunderstand. The cpu was off. The computer was entirely off. The case fans that I connected directly to the psu were on, that was it.

>set phone to install update at night
>wake up 9 hours later
>would you like to install the update now?
heads shall roll

>USB bluetooth adapter occasionally will continue blinking when the computer is off and i need to unplug it so it doesnt annoy the fuck out of me while i try to sleep

intel management engine's gotta keep cool, too, goy. we can't just stop monitoring your machine when you turn it off

>try to wake up PC
>it turns off

No Intel Management engine in my AM3 system.

Go back to sleep, just let the trojan miner that your intel cpu let in do it's work.

>Can't change my security settings cause I don't have administrator access to do so
Probably fine

If you really shut down your computer then it shouldn't be able to know to wake up when you press the power button.

>I know for a fact my phone is being monitored (thanks Jow Forums)
Proof?

Based Sakura poster

I have a 3000 rpm fan set to come on full blast when my cpu exceeds 60 degrees but sometimes speedfan just doesnt do what its supposed to

nah its because the card is being powered without instructions. default mode is sometimes fans off, sometimes fans full blast.
