hey Jow Forums, boomer here. i have a big ass tv and don’t feel like buying a monitor, but the tv is just way too big for my small baby vision. is it possible to do something like pic related where the screen is only shown on the bottom left/right and the rest is just black?

Set a lower resolution and play with display scalling in nvidia control panel

I know that X/possibly xrandr can do things where you basically tell it what parts of a screen are "broken" so to not display to, but I'm not sure how exactly that's done. But in general, Linux _should_ be able to do this.
