This is not Ruby. This is Crystal

This is not Ruby. This is Crystal.
It compiles to C. It's portable. It's fast. And it has none of the headaches of C.
Why aren't you using Crystal yet?

I'm allergic to crystal meth

dropped.

Go on, name three environments for which no working C compilers exist. Feel free to take your time, I've got a lot of it. You'll need it.

it's joke!
I tried NIM and it was not usable, this is similar thing

I don't think you need programming languages in your life, you need a remedial course in English.

TEMPLEOS

No need to name three when only one matters

A language doesn't "compile to C".
The implementation does.

The main
The main implementation does NOT compile to C. It compiles to LLVM bitcode which then compiles down to native machine code. The exact same way the clang and Rust implementations do it.

You may be confused, as the language implementation advertises that it has the same speed and performance as the same program written in C.

no cgi server

Shit Language -> Translator -> C -> Compiler -> Machine Language

Anyone else see the unnecessary steps here

>Anyone else see the unnecessary steps here
Yeah, why did you add them? They're not there in reality.

># A very basic HTTP server
>require "http/server"

>They're not there in reality.

Yeah, your braincells.

Because it looks like ruby.

>>>end

No thanks

Unnecessary step is Machine Language. Just learn to code neetlets.

Android, as in, I don't have a GCC app.

Any language that can take in environment variables and write to standard output can run as CGI programs.
You probably don't really want that, though. CGI is slow.

I code pure functional programs in pure assembly

bait, but you can compile to android with C (NDK).

Compiling to C doesn't mean much. It's still garbage collected.

Obviously they meant that there exists a compiler for the language that outputs C.

kek nice meme

>Feel free to take your time, I've got a lot of it.
Clearly

If looking like SQL isn't a reason not to use it, I don't know what is.

>compiles to C

The replies in this thread are so incredibly retarded that it makes me embarrassed to have spent so many years of my life on this board.
