Heh. Let's play it by hour.

What is the correct answer for max $/min discomfort?

1 Bitcoin per year please.

Take what you make and add another 0 to the end.

My expectation is $125,000 starting, sir.

"Take the salary of the last guy hired for this position and increase by it $1000 for every year you wish you never hired him."

This is a good answer, salary is a fucking scam.

He cute

Ah yes, Tim the best man at my wedding. So his starting position minus 1000 for every year he's made my life easier, only seems fair. When can you start?

130-150k usd pls tnx bai

The correct answer is "Exactly what I am worth"
Never ever make the first offer in any negotiation.

$140,000/yr

I expect to get paid on time.

I want $10,000 a month after taxes.

This question isn’t so hard if you’ve effectively job hunted and don’t walk in the doors on your knees ready so suck someone off for a job.

It's the question that shows you've done your research on what to expect.
Bid high.

$2/hr is fine

Pay me in experience please!

Attached: 1558589256467.png (606x504, 160K)

I unironically said it in an interview because I was desperate for a job after a 3 month neethood.
They were trying to lowball me on the pay. Little did they know, I would be okay with even $1 above min wage

Underrated

Attached: 1558118613985.jpg (1149x565, 273K)

Protip: The interviewer/company has expectations for the salary, so you should be ready with a realistic answer. If the position pays $4000-$8000 per month based on experience, and you have ~6 months to 1 year of experience, ask for something like $5000/month.

Answers like "whatever is competitive" or "whatever you think I am worth" are a waste of time. Anything other than a realistic number is not going to get you anywhere, unless your goal is to make things awkward.

Imagine you going to the store and asking:
>Hi, I want to buy these shoes, but the price is not shown. How much do these shoes cost?
Then you get one of these answers:
>"Whatever is competitive."
>"Whatever you think it is worth."
>"How about you make an offer, and we go from there?"
Retarded, no? Well then...

In my country, it's based on social status.
For example, you'd say
>well, a person of my expertise and social status ears x a month in this position so it's understandable how I would not settle for less
That's it.

1 bitcoin per month.

Ideally, you're not bullshitting and if you are then it would be prudent to state a salary that is within the average range for the position you're interviewing for. If the company can't match that, then let some pajeet get the job.

user, that's a bit excessive

Attached: Screenshot_2019-06-21-15-14-12-443_com.android.chrome.jpg (1080x751, 65K)

Yes

I'm a cheap whore: 14.00$/h

Terrible advice. The interviewee has no idea what the company is willing to pay. A better counter-question is "What is the salary range for this position?"
- If the range is acceptable, say the highest end of the range.
- If the range is too low, say the salary you're looking for anyway.
- If the range is too high, great! Say the highest end of the range still.
- If they refuse, you should refuse to give a number until they provide you with that information.
I went from $70k in 2016 to $115k in 2019 doing this. Stop acting like a loser who needs to "appease" interviewers and start demanding the maximum worth you can get

Always ask for 150% of your current pay.

>Salary
>Letting a corporation dictate when you get up
>Letting a corporation dictate what you do
>Letting a corporation dictate where you go

No amount of money can match the freedoms you give up to work for a salary. All you stand to gain is a hoard of material things that will never fill the hole that is your soul.

what was your Bs degree in?

about three fiddy, chad daddy

Double major in pure maths and CS. Realized too late that I loved CS as well and it took me 5 years to finish both. MS went by in a flash tho.

Every job offer that states the salary pays pajeet tier salaries.

I ask this before going to interview, not going to waste my time with shit offers

heh...... I too like CS but I'm in math. Can't do double majors on my country, not even a thing.
There's a MS for CS I could probably enter, is it doable with just math background?
They teach a year of C as language for computational algorithms, but I know it's probably worth nothing

I will be switching jobs next week, already preparing all the paperwork. Going to job interviews without expecting anything or demanding payments is useful, because you'll get a short briefing about what other companies do, what software stacks are popular, and how these companies are going to grow in the following year or two. Does not matter how old you are, IT always changes and it's worth it to talk about experiences for free.

This webm triggers me so much.
Animals don't waste food.
But humans are retarded and do exactly that.
Humans were a fucking mistake.

>There's a MS for CS I could probably enter, is it doable with just math background?
Depends on your math program and what you took in it desu.
