>muhhhh security

Consistently less than 1/4 the performance of clear linux. No nvidia drivers. No way to set up gnome.
Stop shilling this trash.

user it's a hobbyist OS
you're not supposed to use it for anything productive which is why nobody does

Pathetic

>No way to set up gnome
I don't know why you'd want to but you just install it like you would on any Linux distro

No TRIM.

And tinker with mystical xorg config files.
Dude if they wanna hack you they will so use a normal os like a normal person

literally who line of products uses obscure product, news at eleven
wake me up when 99% of everything else stops running on linux with a minority share of freebsd

>No way to set up gnome.

I love how the shill who makes these threads always has to invent some new lie to attack OpenBSD

You can use Gnome. Stop being a brainlet and read the man page for it.

>moving the goalpost

You can find many more example on Twitter and their website about institutions and companies that run OpenBSD. I am not gonna bother feeding your shitty troll thread.

>shitnux and freebsd

Enjoy your IoT of hell where you got a Linux microcomputer everywhere that even a 5 year old could exploit in 2 minutes.

>many more example on Twitte
imagine going to twitter to wank over a never-been bsd fork
the absolute state of (you)
>impotent rage at linux
oh fucking lol what kind of bsd npc are you

I've been using gnome on OpenBSD just fine

You do realize that tweet does not contradict OP's claim that OpenBSD has shit performance?

>Doesn't know what Siemens is
You have to be 18 to post here user. Clearly you weren't born pre-stuxnet

>Who
Siemens you toddler

So basically, the guy in the tweet is admitting that OpenBSD is a shit desktop OS due to it's shit performance, relative lack of software to FreeBSD and Linux and lack of TRIM support compared to other OSes, but a rather good server one, especially for security?
Good to know.

I love that OS, but goddamn it if I can't use FDE on Libreboot with it.

Yes, that's its main appeal.
Honestly I feel like porting and shipping Xenocara is also done mainly because of server applications which might need X libraries and related ones (e.g. fontconfig).

OpenBSD>GNU/Linux>>>FreeBSD

>using nvidia
>using gnome
You some kind of faggot?

I can get behind that. Honestly, if I had a server at home I'd probably use OpenBSD for it just based on its high level of security and its low resource usage. I just hate the tards that think that its a decent replacement for a Linux installation. It really isn't if you are in the workforce or school or anything where you need a shitton of software in order to get anything done (and you have to do it quickly). I don't even think Theo brands it in that manner. I think that's just shilling on the part of some autist in order to create a boardwide meme

The security isn’t even that good. No MAC, which companies and governments need.

1. what the fuck is clear linux
2. why the fuck would you use gnome
kys

He is a tranny

You're stupid.

I've been using it, it's great. Linux is pozzed by Apple, IBM, Intel, Google, Samsung, and MS who comprise the Platinum Level Linux Foundation members.

OpenBSD is a much more coherent OS and it just runs better.

Next you'll be complaining that OpenBSD isn't FIPS 140-2.

There are better solutions to everything that they need.
They just use it since it's convenient as they can
implement it with little to no spending and still have
relatively good security.
They do not need MAC.

The OpenBSD security is great if you know how to use it.
Obviously the security is going to be worse if you start
using non-curated programs and expect them to respect
every security rule that you have which is one of the many
reasons that companies create their own in-house tools.

Some of this stuff in OpenBSD is being addressed though with the relatively new pledge/unveil system.

The Unix permissions model is all you need.

No, but they're a great and necessary part of the security.

Actually, Unix permissions are literally all you need. Why does Google have so many pedophiles working there?

On a base level, yes.
On an actual development or user layer you can't only work
with the standard unix permission systems. You need to make
programs that can handle the unix permissions for example.

My computer has more than 2kb of ram, so I can run real software.

and yet you choose to use it to run a crippled imitation of sumb normie oriented UI developed by mentally ill screaming colorful creatures.
disgusting.

>you can't only work
>with the standard unix permission systems.
Yes you can.

Not for big scale, unrealistic.
I appreciate your initial questioning though.

He’s talking about the line of products not the manufacturer you fucking autists

It’s completely realistic.

You are free to disagree.
